Well the red won I got 48 people want to keep red and only 9 for the blue. As for the removable wings like I said in a previous post it would take a while as well as cost a lot to re design the airplane. If anybody has any more questions about this topic please you can call me or email me directly so I can clarify and issues. Blubus and Bald eagle are 100% right a total redesign is needed and test flying until the new structure is proven.

Can you clarify something? Is this the red and white version you are talking about or the red and grey? It's the red and grey I simply do not want.

I'm not sure what the big complication is on the color scheme it is the red navy trainer scheme that I had before. It's on my website and several pictures are on here. We are also making the yellow scheme that I posted on the last page. We can also do any custom scheme you would like. When this option is chosen we will glass the wings and paint the whole aircraft. We have 3 builders that will do this for $1000

Henry i think Pepper was looking for clarification on whether it is the white with red navy trainer or grey with red navy trainer scheme that are both pictured on your site? Perhaps when you say red navy trainer you mean both the white and grey versions?

A picture is worth a thousand words please look below. FYI we never made a red and gray. The only colors we have made are Orange and gray and red and white navy trainer schemes.

Below are the two Schemes we are making for the Tornado V3. Also we have about 50 airplanes left it seems like they will be sold out before they get here. I will try to make more but I cannot delay this order any more than it is already. I have made an extra 75 but they are almost all spoken for. The next Tornado order is scheduled for mid-summer

Does the version 3 require one or two elevator servos?

It requires two servos the elevator is to thin for a reliable single servo. We tried going with a single servo that would fit flush and the only servo that worked was the JR 378 thin wing servo and on one high speed pass I got flutter that ripped one of the hinges loose. You need at least 100 oz on the elevator

I did mine the same way, except I used an 5625 MG servo. I use angle Aluminum for mount the servo on blocks. I also covered the stab with Aluminum tape and painted with engine paint.

FYI DO NOT use 1 mini servo on the elevators on our airplane at the speeds that the new V3 flies we have experienced flutter. If you are going to modify this for a full size servo we recommended Hitec HS5645. We will not take any responsibility if failure occurs and you have modified the kits.

I dont see all the desire to put a single servo in this plane. The two servos in the fins work very well and if you use good 3 mm rods with quality clevises disconnecting them each time is no real problem.

I would advise that the blocks should be cross grain and not end grain and that they should be full width to be extra supported by the ribs or spar webs.

I did the mod because I don't like dismantling servo linkages anymore than I have to, for me this makes the breakdown for transport more simple. It beats me why MBUSA when designing this plane should want to emulate the Falcon boom setup and not go the safer/stronger/simpler full length boom system, I am currently building a Jetco XLwith full length booms and it is a much better design, incidentally the Jetco will have split elevators with the two servos fixed in the same manner as above and wired independantly for safety.

I don't understand why it matters for break down since the booms are glued to the elevator. This needs to be done and it is not an option. Remember the V3 is designed to fly with 23lb of thrust ( rabbit 100, K110 ) not a P60. So not glueing the booms is not an option. Like mentioned before with this turbine the Tornado flying around 195 to 200+ mph. So the structure is not made for a removable booms option.

Henry, it was an observation only. In my view the design is not particularly good for the purpose in mind, thats all.

I agree with you on somthings If I could make this airplane easier for transport I would in a heart beat. Unfortunatly that is not an option at the moment. With the New V3 Tornado you get an airplane that performs and even outperforms other twinn boom jets that are similiar that cost over $3000 just for the kit for only $469. My objective is to give an opportunity for somebody who does not have money to buy a $7000 jet but still wants the handleing and performance of one. As everybody here has probably experienced in one way or another this world economic downfall RC Jets are a Luxury. We are just trying to keep this Hobby that for me keeps me sane in the reach of everyone.

I am back in the hotel know and since I have kept you guys waiting for a bit I wanted to show you the new sport Scheme and also the mods of the new V3. Like I mentioned before the New V3 Tornado is heavly modified. Please see pictures below for the changes. One thing that you can not see from the pictures is, Carbon reinforcment in the nose and engine mount area in the fuselage and also the airplane has been lowered 1 1/2 inches. So previous struts will not fit this airplane. We have designed new trailing link struts better made for grass operations. The struts wheels and brakes come with our Red Jet Series retracts.

We are taking pre-orders for the airplane NOW if you want to be put on the list please contact us with your full details Name, number, email address and mailing address to
[email protected]

The final price for the airplane is $469.00 this includes Composite Fuel Tank, Turbine Mount, Composite control horns, Cockpit deck and pilot, full hardware. This model is built to handle the New Rabbit 100, King Tech K110 and the Jet Cat P100.
Does the v3 come with the retracts installed like the v2?

Totally agreed! I don't think any box filled with approx $80-$100 of composite & wood material should ever go for $3000 like some competitors charge. People like to say they are a Ferrari & this is a Nissan, but a Ferrari & Nissan use very different engines, suspension, construction material..etc etc.. This $469 composite model & the competitors $3000 composite model both use the same materials & power plant!.. I'll buy MB products off of pure GP, just to prove a point, & these competitors better watch out, because the Tornado's of the world are only getting better! Wait till you guys see V3.5

For the UK and places where cars are on the smaller side. It is vital that a plane like this is capable of being stripped down for transport without too much difficulty
