Default Can a Byron Mig 15 be converted Two Turbine?

I have a NIB Byron Mig 15 that I am considering installing a 12-14 lb turbine in. My search has come up empty on anyone doing so. Has anyone taken on such a project that you know of??

No, but it can be converted to a single turbine using diligent care. It's been done to the F-16... don't see any reason the MIG would be any different.

justa question of strengthening the fuse and vert stab. You would definietly need to sheet/ glass the wings.

How is it possible that native English speaking people type so many mistakes in these words:
Two
Too
To
Field
Receiver
Transmitter
Turbine
Gauge
Definitely

It makes all this confusing to read...
Just an observation from the opposite side of the world with different languages...

i have built many of these.. comes out real tail heavy.you will need to put two servoes ,one in each stab.rudder also. more tail weight.. not good.install turbine as far forward as possible.they fly great.. 16 lbs is the sweet spot. wing fairings on the fuse ,are not the same.. one side has 3 deg different angle [AOA] than the other. will cause a bad roll. flaps work super.

For such a simple question, this thread is making me piss myself laughing!!!

The popular thing to do with the older ICDF models is to convert them to electric rather than turbine. I know it's not what you have asked, but I have the byron F-16 and was tossing up the same thing. Everyone who had converted it TWO turbine said it ended up coming out too heavy.

Mine came out at 13lbs and I get about 14-15lbs thrust from the e-byrofan. get's off the grass no probs! the vid was taken before i installed the retracts. and i am now running 12s packs for evem more get up and go.

Just another option which is cheaper than 2 turbines!

Thanks

dave

Nice! I have read in a German mag about a dude who had 2 engines in a Mig15. But then it was something like 1/3 scale!
Aint photoshop fabuloustically entertaining!

OK....How about cadded plans for A B-45 tornado bomber? 100inch+ span...

for Ticketec.....what is the rundown on that byron edf setup....motor /controller. batteries, mounting?
That would be another way to go on the Byron Mig, and I do agree its great to have other OPTIONS!!!
