I highly recommend a P80, although it has flown with a P60. Keep it light and you should be fine.

Using Lipos would be a plus... In the elevator make sure you use high quality digital mini servos. Just make sure you get the correct CG and dont go over 24lbs and you should be ok. I still recommend a P80.

Best of luck!

If you don't mind a twin boom then a Boomerang Nano will be ideal.

Might consider the Modellbau F-86D.
Several flying with a P60.

Finally did the maiden today, P70 for power, came in at 21.5lbs. flew very well landing was very predictable. might need a little up elevator with full flaps, pitched down slightly.

the only thing noticable was some dutch roll, I do not have the fins on the rear , I will put them on for the next flight and hopefully that will correct it.

I have always said this was a nice jet and figured it wouild fly great, some quality issues on the factory assembly (gluing) and the instructions suck..everyone who has one knows that.

I believe that Modellbau has suspended the production, if they fix the little things that people have discussed on the forum and make it a bit more of an ARF they will have a winner...thay already do have one, it was just a little frustrating to build and fix some of the difficiencies. Everyone at the field today loved it

Looking forward to the next time out with it.

Nice! I have 5 flights on mine, but my local field is a little small for this jet so im holding off on flying it till i could get to the other field which is about 2.5 hours away drive. I love the way it flies.

Hey guys just want to post this video of Oscar from Brazil flying his MB339, for those who doubt the airframe, in this video from about the 4 min mark you can see the airplane flown fast and pulling some Gs.
enjoy!

This video is not mines! I'm posting it with the Permission of Oscar the owner. if you look on his you-tube channel you can see more videos of the same airplane
Thanks!

It's a matter of time before that airplane crashes!!! The Stabilzers are mounted upside down.. Those red and white stripes on the elevator go on the bottom which makes that live hinge gap on the top instead of the bottome. Plane flies nice but was built wrong.

Yup he's right, I got caught in that same trap, only the Italians would put the decoration on the bottom of the tail. LOL

Can anyone tell me dimensions on where the gear mounts are in the wing? They are not factory cut so I'm looking for some measurements..
Thanks

I have one Tricolor scheme BNIB with retracts if anyone is interested. Kept to build myself but never got around to it with the commitment I've needed to put into the Aurora.
