Your Right ! the f7u is a delta, but it never did see operational carrier squardon use(VF)3p's only .The Corps( reserve) even had a few .

Default Delta wing Navy aircraft

The F7U most certainly was flown aboard ship. The A4D Skyhawk is another delta wing that was flown aboard ship and in much greeater numbers than the F4D or F7U.
