What you said makes no sense if you purchase an item far from you.

Another way for the buyer to have protection is to use PayPal.

I sold a turbine here on RCU before. The guy wired the money to my account and i held it for two weeks to make sure it clears my bank and is. He was not happy with the wait but i kept in touch with him ontill the end of the 2 weeks hold. I call the guy and give him the tracking #after he got the engine a couple of months later i call him again and ask him if he is happy with is engine, he was very happy.

Sometime you have to go the extreme route to make sure you are not getting ripped off.

In hindsight, it seems that only one guy vouched for him and that guy had no dealings with him; he "talked" to him on the phone and determined he was a good guy and gave him a great reference!
