does anybody out there know how much fuel the factory conformal tanks hold in the yellow f-22....i mean stealth fighter?

The tanks are way bigger than I need, I cant give you a specific number but I only fill mine 3/4 full, fly 7 minutes and the tank is still about 1/2 full after landing. Rhino powered.

I would agree. My F22 is powered by a Titan SE. If I fill the tanks all the way and fly for 10 minutes I have 40% left when I land.
I fly (not counting taxi/start up a minimum of 8.5 minutes just to get the weight down for landing.
I will sometimes fill 75% just to keep things a little lighter on hot days.

No shortage of fuel!

Are there smaller tanks that will fit, I will be flying mine with 120/no vectoring.

I wouldnt take the time to reinvent the wheel. Just dont fill them all the way. I would bet your 120 size will use about the same fuel for a flight as my Rhino as you will be at a higher throttle setting more than I am. This thing is plenty fast at half throttle and is a monster at full throttle....accelerates going straight up..gotta love it!

Brian, I recall reading that the tanks are a total of 190 oz. I know that my 5 gallon fuel container is a whole lot lighter when I fill my F-22.

I got a couple of flights on mine yesterday. What a great airplane. It was the first flights it has had since the weather got cool....Man does it want to go with the Rhino...Sweet! It's a sight to behold when you do a vertical climb and accelerate all the way up[X(]

Boy do you have a wild imagination! But I agree that would be quite a sight. Taxi out and line up for a tandem take off and then a conopy to canopy low pass. Bri is a much better pilot than I so he'll have to be the inverted passer.
Bri, did you buy Dan's F-22?

Yea John I did.....I sold all my scale stuff.....but this hobby is a sickness...Dan offered it to me at a fantastic price...and we all know the quality of dans builds....I have a wren 160 looking for a home.....So I added it to my fleet....the vectored nozzel option interests me...but this year i will fly her with the standard tailpipe. Thanks for the info on the tanks guys...I love having plenty of fuel!!! Just waiting for spring!

That would be a sight to see. Three F-22's lined up on the runway with sequential takeoffs. Then the low pass would be two birds wing tip to wing tip with Bri inverted and above and between the two of us. I'd be such a basket case trying to pull that off that I'd need paramedics to revive me. Bob, we're counting on you to be ready this spring. There's a possible fourth Raptor in the club. Frank is looking, since he flew mine and really enjoyed it.
