Default Helping out a Buddy shipping him a new (to him) jet...

One of my friends and fellow club members in GA Jets in Atlanta bought an F-15 last month from an RCU member down here and he asked if I could pick it up for him and hold it at my house while we figured out how to get it to him.

I said Sure...no prob and I picked it up for him.

Another club member and fellow full scaler (now a Delta weenie) that we flew together back in the '90s at a different airline says "Hey...I have an idea!"

He says "I have a buddy who might be able to put it in the back of his trailer". "He goes down to Miami from Atlanta a couple of times a month and might be able to haul it back for Bob".

I say "cool...give him my number and we can hook up somewhere".

I get in contact with "Mike" and make arrangements to meet off of I-95 and exit 60 down here.

He arrives, we shoe horn the jet into the back of his trailer...barely hammering it in...and off he goes.

Last night...it safely arrived in Atlanta and has a new home.

Oh the things we do...

Good man for helping him out.

That first pic screams 'homicide' to me... Good thing a detective didn't see the jet get loaded into your friend's vehicle, he'd have a couple of questions to ask.

The things we'll do for airplanes.

We rented a Ryder truck for a week just to haul airplanes to a a lake for a weeks vacation of float flying.....lol

That's a great deal you got there and it turned out good even better!

Pete, is that the best you can do? Pipes????? Come on, it's in the teens here and snowing, send the truck up here, pickup our jets and us and ship us all to Florida where it is warmer. 70 in tampa today, that works for me............ I'll even by the first round of kero for everyone.

It took 4 bags to bundle up the jet. $10 bucks a piece from Wally Mart.

Cheap insurance and he did indeed reimburse me for them.
