I agree, NO JETJOES for you.......there are always used combos for sale in the classified adds here.. you can usually find one ready to fly around $2500. as for the turbines, stick with the name brands , there are about 3-4 names out there. Jetcat, Simjet, Wren, Jet central to name a few. as for the jet itself, Reaction 54, Facet 1200 or the 2300, Boomerang.
If you have any question, just ask.....

If you are looking for a new package, you should check out the Tornado from ModelBau USA, They will fix you up with a nice combo price.

Joe,
The cheapest system new is the Nitro Planes Falcon 120 and King Tech 80. You can
use all standard servos, except the elevator, which I use a good digital (not high dollar).
There are some mods needed, but not major (glue joints and glassing the formers).
Go fixed gear first, put brakes on mains for AMA (get used set). If you have the radio
system, you can do the complete system at $2000 if Todd at Dreamworks still have
the K 80 for $1550. The plane is a dream to fly and land. The Falcon at Nitro is still
$179.

If your time is worth anything, skip the Falcon and get the Tornado. The Falcon 120 is a crapshoot. Some are FAR better than others. No way to know for sure other than a COMPLETE rebuild. Save yourself the headache and uncertainty and spend the money on KNOWN quality. No offense to you, Johnny, just my opinion.

Beware! The 'cheapest or most economical' will probably cost you more in the long run.
There's a big difference between cheap & good value.
Go to a jet fly or a club that flys jets, see what works reliably flight after flight & make a decision after talking to them.
Be VERY careful buying used turbines unless you know the seller very well.
Avoid Jet Joe turbines no matter how big a bargain they appear.
Keep in mind quite a few RCU members also distribute jet products & this may colour their recommendations.
Good luck & welcome to jets, it's a hoot! - John.
