I especially like picture 8 on the previous page with the tree behind it. Lovely aeroplane, great flight.

My Feedback: (30)
Hi all, I have been following this thread as I picked up a kit last Febuary here in Canada. I have been flying her for a month now, this is a wonderful plane to fly, with only 2 clicks of aileron adjustment needed during maiden. It has made me a more confident flyer, as I have flown other jets but always had bad tendencies from flying Roo's if you know what I mean. Here are some pics with over 30L fuel used. Also some awards she has earned me. 😎
Great work Der-Jet !

Another great day with the Vampire, fast becoming a favourite. I added a JR 420T gyro to the rudders and in gusty/windy conditions today the Vampire is much more solid. Plenty of nice comments today and the Vampire was voted 2nd by the judges at our UK Top Gun event today. Landings in 20mph+ winds are no problem using full flap.
Although the P-120 is way too much power for normal flying, to fly at a scale speed the thrust is needed to drive the Vampire on the climbing manoeuvres.

Just noticed these pictures are exactly 5 years ago at the same venue :-)
Post 226-pixs are in a thumb nail and don't post!

A true classic Jet, and flown in a realistic manner, these were taken a couple of years ago at RAF Whyton.

Carried out the first few flights with my new Vampire which I acquired from a friend. I am using a Jetsmunt 100 for power, Braincube lighting and a Powerbox 3e gyro.
Flight times in excess of 10 minutes are easily attained from the 4 ltr fuel capacity. The take off run is short with half flap and landings are equally manageable with full flap. I have used the airbrakes in flight for slow passes but really they are not needed...look good though!
Really pleased with this great model.
