Second time - antenna location C-Arf Flash
I brought this up about three months ago in the forum and thought that I had a what was a good solution.... However, after reading some posts with receiver installissues, I feel that I must ask the questiion again.
What I have is a Futaba R6014FS receiver installed in my C-ARF Flash. Iwould like to know where is the best location for the antennas. Currently I have them running on either side of the fuselage canopy rails.
Your input will be appreciated.
Thanks
Rick

On my Ultra lightning I have the rx mounted on the fuse side one antenna points down and the other points forward, 90 degrees to the other antenna. Actually this is the same setup i put on all of my planes. Never a problem with range checks or in the air.

Here's a pic opf my 6014HS installation on the C-ARF flash, you'll see one of the antennae runs underneath the fuselage to the ouside, it's taped to the fuse along the lengthwise axis, the second antennae is on the top protuding from the switch base running perpendicular to the fuse's lengthwise axis.
The only issue I see with placing them on the canopy rails is therequired 90 degrees to each other and their proximity to the carbon fiber on the fuse. with my arrangement I was never able to get a failsafe while testing the 700 feet length of my club's runway...
