Default Does anyone recognize this Bandit?

Hi All

Does anyone recognize this Bandit. I purchased the model second hand and it is very well built, but it needs some paint touch-up and I'm looking to find what paint was used when it was originally painted.

It has what looks like the Super Bandit fuselage and the balsa wing.
Wingspan is 63" and length is 75" which doesn't match what I have found so far on the internet.

Many thanks.

Looks like a SUper Balsa bandit.

Also looks alot like a Bill Harris paint job, he built a couple just like that back in the day.

Where did it come from. This might help in determining who built it.

John,

I know we can't stop time from passing, but I'm not farting dust yet !!! " Back in the day " makes me feel old !!! We had a bunch of great times and I know there is alot more to come !!! Hope to see you soon, perhaps at Kentucky or Muncie, or JWM !!!!

Take care !!!

Ditto on the Bill Harris paint job. I looks like the one Paul McCauley once owned. I would definately try to contact Bill since he would have the paint info.

If this is true then Bill used alot of i believe it was ppg lacquer paints back in the day. Then he would hand & machine buff it to a brilliant shine. Bill was a painting god.

Its an original composite bandit. Not a super. I owned it for a very short time. 2 guys owned it after me who belong to the georgia jets club. the red paint is a special mix ppg base clear. Bill has the paint code. I had the code at one time but have since lost it.

hope this helps
best regards
Paul Mc
