Default 0.790 OD Wing Tube Needed...BADLY

Does anyone know who might have a CF tube or CF rod with an OD no greater than .790 ? Length can be as short as 24" or longer. I really hope they exsit somewhere.

Thanks,
Billy

Thanks Dave
I wonder the tolerances on that Braided stuff. The pic makes the outside surface appear to be kind of rough. And since this is sliding into another tube, the OD is important. Might have to go with the .750 stuff as it is more of an off the shelf item.
Good stuff. Thanks
Billy

Billy,

There's a spec sheet PDF file on the site. Says plus or minus .015 tolerance.

What's it for?

Billy, you might have better luck searching for a 20mm tube, .790" = 20.066mm, a quick search for 20mm carbon fiber tube gave a lot of results, everything from 1mm wall thickness to 3mm wall thickness I found.
Not sure what wall thickness you want.

Jeremy,
Good point! Where did you find the 3mm thickness one?

Big D,
It's going in a big Super Cub.

Amazing how one can travel the global ( through the internet of course) looking for something then, only to find it 15 minutes from your house. I have called companies in China, the UK, New Zealand and every US distributor and manufactor of carbon tube. They either didn't have it or could make it for a pretty penny and wait several weeks.

Then I though about the tail boom on an RC heli.
Turns out a Logo heli has a carbon fiber 20mm tail boom that is 700mm long. BINGO... that is exactly what I need and it was just sitting there on the shelf at the local hobby store.

One happy camper now

Is that going to be strong enough, assuming you are using it for a wing?

Yes it should work well. It is primarily to assist me while I install the wings and the wing struts.
