Always cracks me up how they paint a phony cockpit on the underside of the jet.

I like it but I am curious what's the reason they paint a false canopy on the bottom?

It makes it hard to tell which direction the plane is turning in a dogfight. The A-10 has the same thing.

Cheap deception, can be very effective. Ive bit on it before in a multi bogy fight.

I know what the reasons are, I just think it LOOKS funny, therefore cracking me up. Kinda like a "smart car", they are small for a reason but I still point and laugh at them everytime I see them.
