SO this is where I ended up!!
So I ended up in Cape Coral - in a great condo on a salt water canal community with only six units, a deeded dock and a heated pool!I'm looking forward to meeting a few of you Florida jet pilots the first time I stay there for a few weeks! I looked at more than 30 properties
in 5 days, and didn't make it to Florida jets this time, but next time I will be there! I will be going over for Easter, and hope to see the last
Space shuttle launch and maybe meet some of you then. I also need some advice about clubs (and actually, where to store a couple of planes,
as I will be renting out the condo most of the year until I retire!)

Hi Hector! I know, that's part of the plan, a short hop to San Juan is so much easier that 30 hours
from Norway!!! We will see you more and maybe I'll even build a box for one of my small jets!!

Shoot a PM to either Eric Clapp of Jet Central (RCU Screen Name Blufox) or Bill Hatcher (RCU Screen Name Bill Hatcher) of Hatcher's Building service, they live very close to where your condo is....
I'll bet Bill has storage space to lease

The deal was amazing - I couldn't get a small studio for that price over here! And as for the house sitting, Craig - I would
rather have a few of you guys over for a cold one while I'm there myself!

Congratulations, welcome to the area. The boating a fishing is fantastic also around that area. Plenty to do to keep busy. Hope to meet up with you some time, we have a small group of jet flyers that meet at the R Seahawks field on Tuesdays. Alex.

I have been looking at the club info - does anyone know how they would handle
a non-US member? Can I be a member of the AMA without being a US citizen, or
is there some kind of guest membership/guest waiver system?

My folks lived in Cape Coral for 17 years on a canal off of Beach Parkway.....used to fly the Baron down from Wisconsin for long weekends......No good flying field back in the 80's and early 90's, so I used to fly my old pattern planes off concrete streets in subdivisions where there were no homes yet built. CC is one beautiful canal after another. That photo that Figueroa posted brings back memories as my folks pool area looked exactly like that...Sorry now that I sold the place after they passed in the late 90's.
