Buck, The good news is I don't have to go to Jared OR sell either of the Bandits after all. The Bad news is I have no idea how to change my Facebook status to SINGLE!!
Were half way home trying to beat a storm rolling in.
Will see if we have any pics to post when we get home.

Another very special thank you to Debbie, Clay, and the entire TIMPA crew for another great weekend at Tucson Jets. Eight years ago when my wife and I made the decision to leave nitro and enter "The wonderful world of Jets", we had no idea of the super friends that would envelope our world.........it seems that the flying is almost secondary to the fun times that occurs at each event. Buck; sorry about your F-18, but it was quite a smoke trail while it lasted........Once again, you can fly mine anytime.....the little BUG handles the wind well.

Eegads Buck! I'll try hard to try to top the pic of the little ChiP'er with model pics instead!...
Thanks to Debbie, Clay, and the TIMPA club for hosting a nice event! Once again, good sp'ghettis! [8D]
A pic of the DFW models that showed, up, and a bunch of others...

The flightline got busier on Saturday. I think at the event, you had the opportunity to fly with the wind in all 4 directions, at varying times. [8D] I like the color scheme on this Electra! Flew nice! Several nice flying Elans also showed up.

John H's Bobcat flyin' around. Thanks for the taxi service to AZ!
Good to see Barry from CA again, also. Hope you had a fun time at the museum too!! [8D]
Good to see Bob And Carol B, JPO reps all the way from WA. Also, Dave R, AZ JPO rep, with his high altitude E-flite airliner. I think he flew at scale altitudes where the SR-71s hang out!

Home Safe, Just in the nick of time. Snow started just after we pulled in.We would like to add our thanks to Debbie, Clay and allthe Timpa volunteers that once again hosted yet another terrific jet rally. They do such a great job of taking care of everyone that attends and make each and every year a great time! Buck, Is Southwest hiring you as a Pilot or Comedian? I reckon they can't lose either way, your too funny!!( BTW.......I can't even spell Face book.) Thanksagain for the Dr Pepperand theRudy's, Good StuffMenard!!I will let you know when we pop open the pepper and what we think. Sorry about your F-18, It was sure looking good on take off roll and climb out before the tail heated up.After that and your fun drive in,you still managed to entertain us all with your humor and maintained a great attitude all weekend. Your a CLASS ACT all the way!!Ron S, great job with that F107A! Really an amazing effort, and congrats on the well deservedawardS! Watch out Mr. Avilla, there is a new Sheriff in town.Paul, my wingman...........wish we had tried that earlier in the weekend. By Sunday Morning we would have been getting pretty dialed in. Something to work for next year. Good to see you, Pat and RC.Chris and Carole, thanks for having everyone over to your house for food and fellowship. That was a nice surprise and we had a great time with everyone. Each year we seem to get to see more and more of the real Chris, without the addition of any alcohol I might add. You and Buck should team up for next years Saturday night's entertainment!John, I had no idea how many pairs of nice shoes Karen had until we got home and went to the closet. She now knows I am watching!! Thanks again for the Tx Stand, I'm digging it!George, thanks for the "Orange Juice" and vitamin K. So many others to mention, but want to start adding some pics.Jim and Karen

Another great Tucson event put on by Clay and Debbie. Everything from a site that's always in great condition to all the after flying fun it's really a vacation not just a jet rally. Congratulations needs to go out for their efforts in crating scholarships that will end up helping so many for years to come. I could also name several others like Bob with his challenge donation and so on but all who were there are a class group of modelers. I'm glad I was able to be there once again. Just a few more pictures to bring this event back to life.

Many thanks to Debbie and Clay and the entire TIMPA crew for all their efforts in putting on the event. I simply had a wonderful time. Kathy was disappointed that she was sick and couldn't attend but says "Just wait until next year!!!" The hospitality, comradery, and the food/beverages were simply sensational. Many thanks to the "Jet Babes".
Regards,
Jim

Finally home from Tucson, long drive on Monday with extra wind. Field conditions Friday and Sat were calm compared to trip home. 20-50+ mph all the way from Tucson to San Diego. At one point, truck down shifted to maintain 50mph speed on a flat road, I looked up and the mph meter said 2 mpg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was worth the drive home though to have attended another great gathering of the Tucson Family. Clay and Debbie and the rest of the Timpa gang get lots of gold stars for the great event. Always lots of fun to gather with great friends. Even RC had a great time. Maybe next year she will have "high fives" for everyone. Jim, I look forward to having you as my "wingman" for formation flying, that was a kick and lots of fun too.
Now it is back to the job search and repair shop to fix the T45 nose gear.
Ron, thanks for pictures, tells me I need to find the center of the runway.
Regards to all
