RE: Yellow Twin 18 Build
Don or Kevin,
What glue are you useing to glue the inner and outer door skins togeather?? Are the shapes ok to match the fuse, or did you have to trial fit and reshape the inner to fit properly.... All 4 of the kits I have built. the doors are one piece... These are gonna be a pain in the butt !!!!
Thanks,
Danno

yup, great pix Paul I did a quick search and was able to snag the above photo. I like your photo better and will need to get a pair from ya this summer. they really bring the plane to life, along with a pair of nicely made splitter plates

no worries amigo, my understanding of them is to primarily help with airflow between the Lex and the vertical fins. early in testing they discovered the vertical fins moved a significant amount. the little elbow brackets you see on the inside of the fuse to fin joint assist also in stiffening the tail end also, in addition to the frankenstein style patches on the outboard base of the vertical fins.

about 1/2 way down there is an imbedded media file that shows a NASA bird demonstrating airflow over the LEX etc. watch the vertical fins throughout the demo
cheers
