RE: Mississippi Afterburner 2011
So on our way home this morning. Had a great event. So the things I noticed that were interesting to me.
1) a large number of older models at the event. Not a huge amount of new stuff.
2) no real EDF acticity at all. This was nice for me as I do not have any real love for overpriced hand/hair dryes.
3) my god people still think air start AMT's are state of the art.
4) people in the south still build models. This was down right awesome.
5) and Holy Crap there must have been some great fishing near the flight line as ther were still a number of people who had fishing poles attached to their radio. 72mhz is coming back.
Will be back next year. Thanks for the great times Vern and David!

What a great event. Thanks Vernon and all the Mississippi crew. I hate me and John had to leave before supper because it looked dang good. We will be prepared for next year for sure. Man I got to meet the BOB O FINGER and to see the 105 (excellent job!!!!!!!) Thanks to Bob, Mr. Balcome(sorry if I got that spelled wrong) Butch and his wife for the hospitality and getting to drink a soda water together!!!!
There were lots of great jets and excellent flying all day, counting 6 jets in the air at one time, which gave no dull moments for the day. The field was a great place to fly and good accommodations for all.
I would like to also say thanks to John Redman for taking the time to sit down and talk with me about my engine trouble. After getting home and trying what we discussed it is now running. Appreciate your help.
Thanks again,
Todd Jackson

The trip home was one of the longest nine hours I spent but it was worth it. What an event. Thanks to Vernon, David and Michelle (FBO) for making it happen. The Sat. night dinner was over the top. There is a picture of Kim Payne kissing the pig is floating around somewhere, I hope someone posts a picture of it.
Was great seeing John Redman again
I'll post some pictures a little later. Time for some R & R right now.
