Attached are pictures from airliners.net They have good pictures of the planes. You might want to research them to find yours. Also I'm attaching the cover of a book that also has pictures. As a note I do not believe a F100 f was ever done in that scheme. That been said it is a great one. Good Luck Dan Avilla BVM rep

The pdf did not work. I scanned the page in the book with the picture of the color scheme you want. I could not get it to come out clear. Dan

Pretty sure the Skyblazers only flew the F-100C.

Didn't most aerial show teams operate two seat aircraft for training or media relations purposes?

Although it seems that most squadrons were issued an F model it is and has been an issue to find photos to support the claim, given that there would more than likely be only one bird per squadron that was an F model.
Oh isn't scale fun !!!!!!
Hope you find it, I will look though my collection of books as well.

The Skyblazers only flew F-100C's as stated by Doug. They were disolved before the 1962 show season. The Air Force disolved them and the Minute Men and went to only one show team around that time. Not sure of the exact date.

The Skyblazers never flew an F model that I am aware of. Have never been able to find any documented proof of one yet, but always looking.

Keep in mind the Skyblazers were not like the Thunderbirds, they were a basic demo team from a Fighter Wing in the European theatre.

That is the Skyblazer scheme, a USAF european demo team. I am not sure they ever flew the F-100F. When the Thunderbirds went to the F-100D and could reach Europe with inflight refueling the Skyblazers where phased out. You might be able to search for Skyblazer aerobatic team and find some info.

It is all what you want. If you are not looking to compete on a serious level, then a Skyblazer's scheme on an "F" model might be rpetty cool. All in all it won't look out of place and you would probably be the only one with one. That is always a nice position.

i like the Thunderbird's t-33 scheme in blue white red,

do you think is a good idea to paint the f-100f that way?

replace the silver color with white will be nice?

Replacing the silver with white would make the painting easier. Silver can be a pain to ensure even coverage. If you aren't going to compete, I think the F-100 would look good in the spkblazers or thrunderbirds scheme using white instead of silver.

Here is a photo, circa 1966, of an "F" model in the Thunderbird livery. Nice looking "bird". In the end it's like John said. It's what YOU like. Anyway, here is the pic.
Dan, very nice photos!

Best regards,

Paul if you are not going to compete that would be a great choice. It is hard to mess up a BVM 100. 99% of the people will not care if scheme was never done on that model. What I like to pick is a color scheme that is easy to see. That one will work. I inherited the my buddy Rich Fongs 100. He did it in Presto with light blue on it. When I flew it I had a hard time seeing it. I have been taking a hard look at the sky blazers scheme for his plane. As for putting rivets on it you can melt them into the paint. Good Luck Dan

Hey paul nice job you are going to love the way this plane flys. I have been flying mine in the primer stage for the last two months and i am totally loving it. i have also started to do some flite-metal work on it but will keep flying it as i go. i am also going to do it in the skyblazers color scheme.
