Bandit ARF scheme photo request
Dear all,
Im trying to decide which colour scheme to go for on a bandit ARF mk2.
If anyone has any pics of their examples flying, or any hints on which is easiest to see in what are predominantly grey overcast skies in the Uk id be very grateful.
Thanks in advance.
my shortlist includes scheme 1 ,5 ( diamondbacks) and 7 ( yellow red black)

We have sold all three schemes and I have flown the first two, didn't have a problem with either, but guess 7 will be the easiest. When Alistair finishes his we can find out!!

I used to have a Barf in the #6 hi viz Navy scheme and more recently have one in the #2 scheme. Personally I found the #2 scheme stands out better in the air (especially in darker skies), although didn't really have a problem with the #6 scheme. Not sure if that helps but it looks like the #7 might be the best in terms of stand out against grey skies.
You're making a good choice. Get the cg back from the manual position and it is a great flying, smooth aerobatic jet.

Take a look at the BVM website.
The front page has an inflight photo of the new Bandit ARF Mk II. Then, click on "Click here for more details about this jet" which is just below the main photo. You will find several in flight photos of the new Bandit ARF Mk II in flight just above the paint scheme choices and pricing information.

From the photos on BV's site, it looks like the BARF MK II has main gear doors. Is that correct??
I think all Bandits deserve gear door, which is why I puchased a Super Bandit, and committed myself to an 18 month build. Doh...

The new Bandit ARF Mk II does have main wheel well doors. The Mk II also has a new wing mounting system, which eliminates the need for a bottom fuselage hatch.
Should you need to remove the wings for transport, assembly/disassembly time is significantly reduced and simplified. The wings are secured from the top of the power systems hatch.
There is also a retrofit kit available to enable owners of the earlier Bandit ARFs to add the inner wheel well doors.
The kit is BVM P/N K5300-65, and the price is $147.50 plus shipping.
The wheel well door retrofit kit includes the doors, the carbon fiber hinges (machined from carbon fiber plate stock, hinge mounts, air cylinder, air cylinder mount rib, air lines and main gear/flex plate reinforcement blocks (a new addition to the main gear mounting system) and all mounting hardware...a complete set of BVM instructions rounds out the kit. (I hope I didn't forget anything...if I did, I will edit this post as required).
The kit is color specific to each paint scheme....be sure to tell Patty which color scheme your Bandit ARF is, when ordering the retrofit kit.

I have the #7 Red/Yellow/Black - there has never been a day I had problems seeing it. Also, the black/yellow checker board on the bottom of the wing looks great. Can't go wrong with #7

You can always get the white version and paint yourself (but for an extra $300 more, who would not want it painted at the factory?). I had mine painted prior to Lasik, cause I needed all the help I could get with visibility. Brigt colors like these worked pretty good.
