Mom
Some of you may have known that the past few months my time has been tight. I've had alot of paint work that I have had to put on hold while myself and my family took care of my mom. At 2 this morning she passed away peacefully. I miss her so much already, can't imagine a world without her in it.
She was at my clubs' last jet rally back in October, shortly before she became ill. Although I didn't fly, she had a blast watching others do their thing.
Many of you don't know me from adam, some of you do. My point is to give your mom a hug, tell her you love her and never forget there is more than model airplanes and FAA regs in this world. It all seems trivial now.
Miss you mom, and love forever,
Dan

Dan,
So sorry for your loss. Lost my mom just over a year ago very unexpectedly, I miss her terribly. Although difficult most of the time; We do move on but never forget.
Are thoughts are with you...

I'm very sorry for your loss. I know words can not ease the pain, but time will dull it. I can relate to your pain as my father unexpectedly passed 6 months ago.. May your mom rest in peace.

Just wanted to say thanks for the nice words. The picture is of me and mom at the Farview Flyers Jet Jamboree last October. She didn't even mind the kerosene smell in her clothes afterwards. Her smile says it all. Miss you mom.

Buddy,
Seemed like last week. I remember the sparkle in her eye,
and the big grin when I gave her the golf cart ride up to the
flightline. Sweet, classy lady. Alot of that class rubbed off on
you. I know she's proud of you.
Our good friend Kevin, goes by ezpilot on here, just lost his mom
this past weekend also. Our thoughts and prayers are with him
and his, also. Everyone who can,hug your mom soon. God bless,
Erik

Dan,
You are right, I don't know you from Adam, but I can tell you this much, I know how you feel right now. My mom died just before midnight on New Years Eve. She went into the hospital the week before Thanksgiving with what looked to be a simple case of bronchitis, and spent 6 weeks there before she died. She was only 66 years old. We lived several hundred miles apart, but I talked to her almost eveyday. I find myself sometimes in the morning picking up the phone to call her before I realize what I am doing. My dad is completely lost without her and I worry more about him now, though his health is excellent. I know eveyone tells us that time heals all wounds, but I find it hard to believe. I know she is better off today than she was when she was in the hospital but the loss has left a big hole in my heart. You are in my prayers and if you need anyone to talk to, drop me a line. Take care.

RE: Mom
Sorry for your loss Dan. You will learn to live with your loss, but the pain will be there for a long time.
I lost my mother nearly 12 years ago. She was only 56.
She never got to meet my children nor my wife. And that's hard just thinking about.
Miss her like it was yesterday.
