RE: The New F86D Dog Sabre
I totally agree that video was excellent, very nice footage not to long and to the point. Congrats on that awesome bird, I think Modellbau has done it again. I am looking forward to getting mine.
On another note I was down at Markham park about 2 weeks ago with my family and I got to see Henry flying the new Tornado, holy crap I don't know what engine they have in it but it was screaming. I think Henry was kinda battling it out with a Bob Cat i think and he was doing some stuff with that thing that was very impressive. Im trying to get a picture out of my daughters phone of him doing an inverted pass about 20 ft off the ground at full bore.

RE: The New F86D Dog Sabre
I appreciate that someone is prepared to make less modelled variants of aircraft. But is there any chance you will also make a "normal" fuselage version? I adore my Trim F-86 which is similar size but no longer made, and the BVM one is fractionally smaller and rather expensive. I am not aware of anyone else making an F-86 of this size and weight, (the Asian moulded ones seem to be a little bit bigger but a lot heavier) so the market is there for you.

RE: The New F86D Dog Sabre
Well we went out working agian today, well not really working but thats what I told my wife LOL. Below are some more pics of the DOG. One other very big plus about the DOG is that it fits completely assembled in a regular Ford Explorer. BIG Plus for a lot of people.
As for the servo's you can use any thin wing servo that is Metal gear and has a minimum of 65oz. But if anybody would like Servo's, Extensions, UAT, Brake valves etc... please let Ian now from Modellbau UK and we can send what ever you might need when I send my container over to our store in the UK. I guarantee that we will match or beat any price on Turbines, Electronics, Hardware than any other store in the UK or the European Union. Just send you rlist to Ian and we will make it happen.

Quite a few folks have asked when a review was going to be done.
One is on the way for review and I'll be doing it for publication in Model Aviation, so get some oars and help the ship get here faster!

Hey guys i apologize for not responding any earlier but I was swamped after I got back from Brazil I had 220 emails it was crazy. The show was awesome we all had a great time. I would like to thank every body down in Brazil for making everything a memorable experience. I would also like to announce that Modellbau has two new additions to its family Andre Pupin and Adriano Lopes, they are Brazil's top RC Pilots and have competed at the world championship level under several different modalities of flying. You can see a little of there skill at the links below. They are now fully sponsored and flying for Modellbau

RE: The New F86D Dog Sabre
Just some info I have contacted all the people on our list for the Tornado and the F86D today. If I have not contacted you please call me so I can get your order processed. The airplanes from my factory are scheduled to arrive on the 28th of June and I should start shipping the first or second week of August.
We are expecting to attend the UK for the Southern Model Air show in September, back to Brazil in October and Quito Ecuador in November.
Since the Tornado was such a big hit we are currently working on the TORNADO XL. It is 105 inches long and has 88 inch wing span. It has the exact flying characteristics as the Tornado and is 40% bigger. The airplane is made for King Tech K140 - K170 or P160 and will be made for our Red Jet series retracts and trailing link struts. I expect to have the factory demo here in about a month as soon as I have pictures I will post them.

RE: The New F86D Dog Sabre
Well I just flew the DOGfor the first time yesterday and it flew awesome. I was fortunate enough for Henry to let me pick one up a few months ago at the factory when I was down south and I finished it last week. The Airplane went together very easy even though I did not have an instruction manual, with the help of Henry and Alberto it went together without a problem. I have mine powered with a Jet Cat P60 SE Kero Start and it has plenty of power. I used the servo's recommended except for the elevator and rudder. I used VOX thin wing servo's on the elevator's and a Hitec 5245 MG because I decided to use a gyro like Henry recommended. The airplane came in at 15lb with a full UAT. I installed all my batteries in the nose and it balanced out perfectly. I did not use the drop tanks because I dont like the way they look so I did not even install them. Since Henry did not have struts wheels and brakes available yet for the kit when I bought it so I used Robart straight struts, Spring Air retracts and BVM wheels and Brakes. By the way I feel like an ***** not waiting now because I paid an arm and a leg for the struts wheels and brakes compared to what Henry is selling them but any way thats what I get for wanting everything now now now LOL.
On the first flight I set the CG and throws as per what Alberto said, the only thing I did different was use crow since every F86 that I owned needed it to land slow, even my large BVM Sabre. It took off very easy and flew great, the dutch roll tendency that every sabre was gone with the use of the gyro i used on the rudder. The P60 was plenty of power I cannot imagine using anything bigger. I flew for about 10 minutes before I set up for landing. I used about 1/8 inch of down elevator to counter act the pitch up tendency that I got because of the crow on landing flaps and it slowed down very nice. She landed very nice and did not show any bad tendency's of tip stall or yawing. All and all I was very happy with the performance and flying characteristics of the plane. I did recommend to Henry that he use crow on his model and he told me that they have flown it with crow and they like it very much so they are incoporating that into the manual. Henry and Alberto congrats on another excellent airplane I cant wait for the Hurricane, make sure to make one up in Navy trainer scheme.
Oh yea sorry guys for not uploading pictures but I was called out on a 14 day trip about 2 hours after I got home so I had to pack and go. I will try to up load some when I get back.

RE: The New F86D Dog Sabre
I would like to annouce that we have made trailing link struts for the mains of the Sabre. We just finished the testing on them today and they are great we flew off grass about 15 flights and they work just like the Tornado's struts PERFECT. If anybody would like to change there order from the straight struts to the trailing link struts you can contact me directly at 954-224-1700 or just send me an email. For those who have not yet ordered an airplane you can get them for $315 for the complete set.
