Dave,
Very nice indeed, that looks a winner. I was fortunate to see a full size one displayed last year at R.A.F Cottesmore that one was in your colour scheme too.
Although I was born in the 1940's it was good to see a swept wing jet that was older than me.
I have attached a couple of pictures, and a link to the owners of the F86 I saw displayed.
Alistair.

Very nice indeed ....what retracts have u installed ....I used to have two of these with the original retrcats that never seemed to work properly...one of my F/C F-86 still exists at my friends house and we are inteding to refubrish it with the BVM retrcats...

Super cool Dave.... remember to go easy on the go stick, it does not need much thrust to fly scale... dont let the wing flex scare you either, that said keep flight envelope scale and shes apples...

So I could go with a P-80SE
ORIGINAL: seflyer
looks great Dave, not much power needed, mine is 33-34 pounds wet with a P-70 and flies great, mostly at half stick.

I have not solved my retract problem either, It is just not possible to pull the mains up with the BVM retracts. I even fitted smaller wheels to lessen the weight. We have to go inverted to retract the wheels which is not a very scale manouver! I echo what everyone says about power, we use a Merlin 90 and that is easily enough. The lighter you can make it the better it will fly.

Good to see another FC F86 ready to fly. I have fitted a pair of Robart slimline retracts that almost fit. I will probably need a small bubble under the wing to accept the depth of the retract unit at the back.
After that I am waiting for a freind to make me some breaks that actually work and the model will be ready to paint. I will fly it first and paint it later. Merlin 90 for power in miine too.
Can't wait
