Don't worry. I am using HowFast and HowHigh devices myself too, and their accuracy is very good !

See you.

Did some testing before jetpower yesterday, everything runs smooth. I installed a new little pitot tube and got 247mph without trying too hard. maybe we'll see 250mph at JP, hopefully the weather is good enough for full power runs :-)

Now I will just clean all mashed flys of the airframe and give it a good wax coating ;-)

Back from Jetpower where I did three flights. I choose not to bend the limits and only did full power in level flight, still my howfast logger recording 401km/h / 251mph and the speaker announced my plane as the fastest on Jetpower 2011! I ended my Saturday flight early when several other turbines were started and reved just a couple of feet behind my back. I'm not used to this, I could not hear my own plane nor the others to predict their location in the air. I simply did't feel safe and shut down early. Friday and Sunday went very well though, much better flying togeather with a friendly UK guy and his small sports jet then having several larger jets reving at my back.

After my flights there were alot of intrest in the Lambert Microturbines stand

PS. no sign of Nicolas and the radar gun either day at my flying slots.

Sorry Henke, having had technical issues with the Stalker Pro Radar gun. The device gave this time inaccurate and inconsistent readings, and the range was very limited. I gave up on Friday after three hours of trying. A DHL parcel is under its way to the US manufacturer for an overhaul check.
I have seen your flights and was already wondering why we only saw a few seconds the potential of your rocket combo Acceleration was impressive, your top speed can be a lot higher than what you showed us.
However, I know how it feels to be there ; I tried to make a decent flight in 2009 too with the Opus+Kolibri after my startbox with TwinJet+Kolibri fell over and crushed the wing in all the hassle of the overcrowded start pits. I was just airborne at the same time as the others and the Flugleiter told me the Lambert flight slot was over (they were behind schedule). I have for maximum 3min 30seconds fuel on board, so it surely was not my fault. hehehe. Then he came to tell me on every pass I was flying too fast and too low, causing even more unnecessary pilot stress while I was trying not to hit another plane in the air at those speeds. Never understood his point, and did not fly anymore the next days.
We got along better the next year, while spending two days together on the flight line.
Sorry for the inconvenience of not having checked your speeds ! See you next year. 360 days to go before JP2012 !!

Max speed I recorded at JP2010 were the two BVM Ultra Bandits, both clocked at 404 Km/H.

Just backing up all my talking with a video of the speed logger showing 266mph, it flashes 100's 10's and 1's and presents km/h as it is configured. (428km/h) Baiojet does´t seem to go faster then this [&o]

Hi Henke,

Not sure if your HowFast device will read accurate speeds, you seem to have installed it very close to the fuselage.
The idea is to install it at least two inches away (forward) from the leading edge of a wing or from the fuselage (see manual).
I do not want to criticize, only to make a technical remark

I did some testing with my car holding the jet outside the window with good results sompared to GPS, however not at the full 266mph haha.(manual says 12mm) But you never know. Thats why I was looking forward to testing your stalker.

Have a ride in my Baiojet on what most likely was it's last flight before retirement.

Something fast in carbon fibre, something slow in foam or something scale in fibreglass... just son't know yet. Which ever route I choose I will try to make it as high performance in it's envelope as I can.

henke,

you are doing very well on t25 with baiojet,
you going to had a hard time to find a airframe
that could out run the record you had on ur baiojet.

I say, stay with baiojet/be the happy owner of this perfect

combo in the world.
