Hello everyone,

We are looking forward to a great MN Jet Rally 2011!

Wondering what we can do to get those on the fence to come and enjoy SE Minnesota.

Will start with asking some of the locals to chime in!

Amazing runway, Open flying, great friends, great food, Northern Lights, campfires - if that sounds good, come on out!

Count me in for a few days Dave! Had a great time last year and looking forward to more of the same!

I got a little work done on the 16 over the winter....finally painted the pilot, changed out the canopy and made some custom plugs for the intake and exhaust.

I almost have the jets out from hibernation. We should get together somewhere and fly in May/June. Rushford? Waseca?Owatonna?

Otherwise plan in a few great days for the MN jet Rally - I hope to have my UB ready in June and dialed in for the event.

Wow! When did you grab an Ultra Bandit? Do you have pictures? I saw one of your F-18's for sale in the market...was that a consession given while negotiating with the wife for a new jet?

New missiles look good! Next you need lights! they are way better than orange missiles!

SPoke with our club tonight.

We will try to have a large flatbed trailer for people and plane transportation around the airport and will also plan for a spectator tent area as well.

I hope we can see some jets from the surrounding states as well as the usuals from MO, MN, NE, maybe some returning pilots from Canada, Louisiana, and some new faces from SD/ND and maybe IL?

We also would like to invite those with electric jets too!

Will start flying Thursday 8/18!

Hi Dave,

Is it possible to hold it one week later?
Fon Du Lac is the 18-21, no competing events the following week.
The week before is Owatona.
Might get more fliers on a non-competing weekend.

I also wish it was a week later. Myself & a couple of local friends that fly Jet would attend if it
didn't conflict with the Fond du Lac Warbirds event. I don't fly a warbird but it is our home & must help out.
I do understand that the date is set.

Let me look into it..we moved it back to not conflict with Owatonna...the weather is typically ok either way...I wonder how many more we may get to really come by moving it? I hear two people interested...?

The other problem I have heard of is simply people cant go back to back weekends....not sure which way to go here yet.

My only other problem is that my vacation is set 3-6 months ahead, will see if I can possibly change. Will check with the airport FBO as well.

Would you be moving it back or forward a Week so it doesn't conflict with Minn & FDL.
I just talked to one of my buddies , he felt that there would be 3 - 5 pilots from WI that would attend.
If you can't change it this yearmaybe next year. I hear of how beautiful a area this is to have a jet get together.

would have to be back a week to miss Owatonna...SO the new proposed date would b 8/24-28 instead of 8/17-21.

Otherwise if we move up we are the same weekend as Owatonna - could do that, not too many owatonna jets....?

Or did you mean the first weekend8/3-7th? That would miss owatonna and FDL etc. I think the only other concern around then is the EAA traffic around then at the airport.
