Folks,

At Farview Flyers (home of the Hamburg Jet Jamboree),our hearts go out to Mike and Cindy Lesher,proprietors of the Liberty Bell Jet Rally.Our good friends aren't able to host Liberty Bell this year,and after consulting with Mike,we have decided to hold an event on those days,so you all can still come to northeast Pennsylvania for jet flying,fun,and friendship in early August.

It is our greatest hope that Mike will be able to continue to host Liberty Bell in the future,and this will be a one-off event.Mike leaves us with some enormous shoes to fill,but we hope to just borrow them.We are planning Aug. 4-7.Since this is being planned with very short notice,details will follow.Many of you have attended our Jet Jamboree in October,and know we do our best to make your time with us safe,comfortable,and big fun.We'll do our best to make this one the same,just a little hotter.

In keeping with the spirit of what we're trying to accomplish,a donation will be made to the American Cancer Society,in Cindy Leshers name.I hope that all of you that were planning to attend Liberty Bell,will consider attending our event.Thank you.

Thanks Alan. I just reserved 2 rooms at the Microtel Inn and so everyone knows they are giving a 20% discount online for staying there for both events for the second stay. I am also glad to hear about the funds going to the ACS. You guys are a class act! Thanks for doing this for Cindy and Mike and for all of us that would miss seeing each other in Aug. The Maryland guys were already talking about what could we do if anything but you guys beat us too it.

Cindy and I are so thankful that Erik, Rick, Lee, Dave, Jim, and the many other guys and gals from my home club, Farview Flyers, are willing to put the Great American Jet Rally together on such short notice. What a blessing to us as we were concerned that we were abandoning our jet pilot family. Cindy and I wholeheartedly support the Great American Jet Rally and are planning on being there.

Erik, I cannot begin to express Cindy's response when I told her about your plan to make a donation to the American Cancer Society. You and the club are way beyond a class act! Thanks for putting a big smile on Cindy's face!

To all of our jet pilot family, I ask that you make it to the Great American Jet Rally. A great facility with great people! Don't forget to bring the whole family...Dorney Park and HersheyPark are not far away.

Guys,

A little more info.It is a 2.4 only event.There will be camping available,no hookups.Prizes,awards,vendors.We have a kitchen on site.It is a 1200x250 ft grass runway.We put alot of effort in keeping it ultra smooth.Groomed,and rolled twice a year.We have been flying jets,from Boomerangs to Phantoms,to Ultra Bandits here since day one.

Wide open overfly area,with no obstructions or restrictions.We"ve had a jet event every fall for the last 4 years running.Ultra laid back atmosphere,with a spectacular view of the mountains in the background.

I will be arranging tent rentals,but they must be prepaid.Price,and deadline to register for tents will be posted here soon.Thanks,

Hi guys,

An update for you.Pilot registration is $40.There will be a pig roast on Saturday,at 5pm,included in the price of the pilot registration.Non-pilots,spouses etc,will be $10 per person for the pig roast.
Also,tent rental is finalized.$100 for one 10x20 space,prepaid.Tent rental fee must be received by July 27th.A flyer with pre-registration and other info is in the works,and will be posted here,and on our website soon.Thanks,

Hi Mike.

We have known each other since the beginings of the Ducted Fan era and longer perhaps and being the very first sponsor to sign on since the very first Liberty Bell Jet Rally and to date, I'm honored to advise that US SIMJET will be making donation to the Cancer Society in Cindy's name as well.

geh3, I have to agree, I didn't like the corn either, Nose gyro went on me last year as I was on roll out, made a hard right turn at full speed and into the corn she went, almost started popping corn......
