I cant believe, you go straight to the exact colour scheme that I plan to have mine done in.... What is it they say about great minds think alike?
Hi Henke.
Sorry, but I have not had the chance to have anyone measure the speed on a radar gun, also no chance to weigh it as yet. Being a solid carbon lay up in the wings and tails, it does feel slightly heavier than my Lambert powered original, but nothing major.

Dont worry Mikel. You can have that scheme for the Marchetti. I am going to have either one of these I think.
This is the first choice, but will only be done once we get the scale cowling.. and maybe even the scale TP exhaust system sorted ( Fingers crossed)

But I think I am going to start with this scheme, as my first kit will be a prototype that will have the normal piston engine cowling and supplied in yellow gel coat. In order to get it done quickly, I will use a non scale exhaust system and cowling.
I have always really liked the lines of this plane. But seeing it now with the slimmed down and sleeker Turbo prop cowling and spinner makes me like it even more. It was worth going to Joe Nall just to see it.

Nerd chic.. Its the way forward Julian When you are as ugly as I am, braces and glasses make no difference..
Yep. It was a great trip. I am really enjoying my time at U.S meetings this year. So much so that I have booked another two already ( Kentucky and Maine) If you get bored at work and fancy a trip out just shout. Who knows, we might even be able to rustle up the Rebel and daddy day care if they are allowed

Damn... Sorry Joe!
Make that three events in the US! I think I am going to need a Green card soon at this rate
Dunc. You just name the event.
Gonzalo, I have not seen any videos and did not think to take any [:@] I was too busy drooling. I have to say, that this is one of those planes that could really do with your expert touch on the cockpit. I will send mine across so you can do the two together

When I saw the picture I had to inmediately called my local comparf representative to ask when the plane is going to be available. I'm already in the list.........
You are right about the cockpit. This plane would really benefit with a nice one. We'll see what we can do over here. Shouldn't be so difficult since know they have a glass cockpit display.

But as always seems to be the way, the plane of the meeting for me, is also going to be an ideal candidate for SPT5 power as well. When I saw it on the C-arf line up I was fingers crossed that it was not just a one off, as I love the design. After watching it fly I spoke with Andreas in detail and told him that I wanted to make a TP variant, and he was all for it. He even said that he would work on the cowling and modify to the shape of the full size TP version.... I was not even aware that there was a full size Turbo prop version of this plane.
I am now sitting here, all excited like a kid at Christmas just waiting for my kit to arrive. I know its not everyones cup of tea, but I just love it, and it flew so well that it is a must have addition to the hangar.

In the Haze.
Sorry, not much tech spec from me at the moment. I am working on it.
Around 2.6m span from the looks of it. The prototype was powered by a new Moki twin cylinder 4 stroke, of ( From memory) around 120 cc. A DA 100 or 120 would be ideal. Although I did hear someone mention that it would probably fly with a DA60 9 Which I dont doubt) I was told that kits were hoped to start shipping in September of this year. Beotech C50 Gear used in the Proto model with a hefty set of trailing link oleos that looked as if they could withstand a war!
As I get more I will pass it on.
Mark, thats a nice scheme mate. Would go well on a all white base model. I assume you have an order in already
Regards Al
