RE: Funjet Ultra+,JetCat P-20SE Build and maiden
it took me 4days to build consider this is my first turbine jet and i take my time and figue out how everything works...
puzzle all those bit and bits in the fuse took most of my time, other then that the building of this funjet is straight foward...
amaze the most is hows the p-20 start, flip a switch on my tx,full throttle on the stick wait awhile and im ready to go,basicaly i can say is "pump and fly"
i vote for 12oz tank sit on cg

fuse is tight and consider p-20 weight around 350g!
that said most of the stuff is placed as forward as possible

Good luck. I think you might need it with how overpowered that set up is going to be. Although one bit of good news is that I dont think it will be flying for long on that fuel load.
One bit of advice...... I would not lunch it at anywhere near full power.

It will be intresting to compare your topspeed to my T-25 powerd FJU :-) Launch it with 2mm elevator dialed in a flight mode and with about 1:1 thrust to weight ratio :-) and be carefull when pulling G's ;-)

ali,
power will never enough,im ordering baiojet and t25 soon, this may give me smile on face i wish.
it clock two flight today, with the help of bungee it shoot up with good pace at40% throttle.
you are correct on the super short flight time on the 12oz tank,i fly mostly wot,so i got around 2.5 minutes of throttle time,i will time it next flight.
beside the main tank i even dry up the 60cc uat on both flight.

henke,
i dont feel comfort to hand launch it nor any of my flying buddy,so bungee is the only way.
with the weight of 1650g my fj speed will no way i can catch you up your fj with lambert t25... you make me want one of the t25 badly!
landing and flying with this massive weight is no pblm,no bad habbit at all,im please with multiplex this time!
ps:it take high G too...:P

im i the first one fj ultra+p-20? i see mostly ppl go with t25 with their fj ultra will great result!
dont get me wrong, the fj/p20 will fly well too, just that t25 will do even better job on fj ultra.if i could do it again i will just go with t25 and case close!
any way this is a temp airframe for p20 while im waiting for bu32.
below is some pictures for those who like to p-20 their fj ultra, hope this help!
Glass fiber bottom part of the fuse where you going to mount the engine on the top,let it cue over night.
Defoam the top surface so that the bases wood will sit flat and clean, yes the wood been sand down to same profile with the foam wing.
Epoxy the wood mount and give it a good layer of glass fiber and you are ready to dry fit you p-20.i give it two layer of glass due to heavy weight of the p-20.
all in all if your goal is turbined fj ultra, t25 is the better route.
lastly i would like to thanks to mr albert from AsiaSRC hook me up with my kerostart p-20se !! great dealer to deal with!!

i cant comfirm the flight time yet,but im happy aready because my f5d only dose one minutes and 10 sec throttle time*DAnG...and another top speed purpose f5d machine dose only 4 low pass and i got to land it. so 2.5 minutes flight is okie for me haha!(i have to comfort my self saying that because i dont have other way to stuff bigger tank in the fj)

Congrats. Glad to hear it went well.
It sounds like you enjoy the same type of models as me... If so. You need to get one like this. Close to F5D speeds, and amazingly strong. Also now available with a Launch buggy so no need to hand Launch. Without a doubt, one of the most fun jets I have......
