Well, I don't think the comment "I think this was posted a few weeks ago." deserves such a snide reply, and your title "RC Jet pilots Fight with FAA..." is totally inaccurate. The article in question was written about conversations at Top Gun, an event where jets are out numbered by prop planes probably 20-to-1, and its an AMA-wide issue, not just a jet pilot's issue. If the restrictions of 400' max., 100 kts max., and 25 lbs max. ever came to be, there are at least 10 times as many AMA members who would be adversely affected by that as there are total jet pilots.
This is an issue that *all* AMA members must pay attention to, and in reality, *all* citizens of this country should pay attention, because your hobby may be next...

Your hobby or your livelihood. Not much of a difference to an out of control regulation worshiping "clique" inside an agency who forgets who is (at the end of the day) paying the bills to light up the desks and cut the checks for these very same agencies. Lots of good folks at the FAA, the key however is to keep the "rule tool" groupies muzzled and tied to their desks running audits of spending accounts, not making pointless regs that foul the process.
And yes, this was indeed posted a few weeks ago and talked about.
