Hi dsr71,

I have the Jetlegend F18C 1/8th . We might be on the same scale, but anyway I used the recommended 6inches from leading edge. I have 2 x A123 6.6v , plus 7.2 Nimh ECU pack and another 7.2 NiCd( using as a ballast ), all placed at the nose, powered and flew well with a P120SE. Total takeoff weight with all tanks full 12.5 kg. Without the ballast, this plane is just too tail heavy.

Thanks for the links Bandit AV i have read both of them several time ,,mine has round cabon fiber spares not the flat metal, wonder if they are in the same place as the earlier versions ?
I read 25 mm behind spare ,or 1-2 cm behind spare or 48 inches from nose
25mm behind the center of the front round spare is just what skymaster has intructed except they take the measurement from the wing leading edge which comes out to 144mm guess i will have to start there if i get no more input .
