EC3 Connector Mounting

EC3 Connector Mounting
I have EC3 connectors between the A123 packs and an AR9100 receiver and between the Lipo and the ECU in my L39. Because they are all mounted up in the slim nose it is very difficult to get two hands up into the wheel well to make and break the connections.
Anyone ever figure out a way of mounting one half of an EC3 connector to make this a one handed operation? Pics?
Thanks
Malcolm

RE: EC3 Connector Mounting
I don't have space problems like you have, so I don't mount the connector.
Here's how I separate the EC 3 connectors.
I use a pair of snap ring pliers.
Insert the pins into the slot in the connectors, give it a squeeze, and ......Viola! All done.
I must confess and give credit for this idea to Gary Freeman Sr. of BVM Jets. (He builds all of the EVF's.)
Perhaps you could fit a pair of these pliers into the wheelwell.

Can you just glue one of the connectors in place?
Or do as Marc suggests and swap the connectors. Something like Multiplex plugs that you can buy mounts for should work.

RE: EC3 Connector Mounting
I had a similar problem with my BVM HUN using a 1222 RX as the RX, not the batteries are buried......I just made up (2) 8" EC-3 extensions using 16ga silicone wire, placing the connectors in plain view on top of the bypass.....

Harley indeed but its the blue plastic casings which render it tricky to undo.
Bullets with heatshrink or a multiplex plug are options.

Harley, please don't insult me, I can read.
My comment is based around access, yes I am sure your pliers work fine, still might be an issue in a confined space, my comment is simply to remove the cause of the problem - the tight fitting connector case and replace it with something more simple.
