Airworld 1:5 F-16???
Hi guys!
I have been admiring the Airworld models both concerning the construction and the way they fly - and as some of you
may know, I love the F-16, and am looking for a larger model than the SM 1:6 that I fly now. Would you be interested
in a 1:5 Airworld F-16?

If you compare the price for one of the other, large Airworld models I think it would be approx. $3000 less that
the championship-winning model - that would be a big difference to me.

Hi,
Well, who ever makes it, I just hope they put the ventral fins on with the right angle. So many of these big Falcons have them on with the wrong angle (usually perpendicular to the fuse) and I can't understand how/why it's saving any time or money to produce them with that error.

F-16 is one of my dream planes but I still didn't buy one cause I think at the moment the overall quality-scale detail of the Chinese manufacturers are very far from European manufacturers (but also the price I agree-but you know in life you get what you pay for).
Good luck with convincing Airworld.

RE: Airworld 1:5 F-16???
Guys,
SM are currently producing one I'm sure Anton will post info and/or pics as and when he sees fit.
With JWM (scale-jets' model) and hi-end ARTFs (SM) now covered, I can't imagine anyone else would go to the trouble of competing in the niche market of 1/5 scale F-16s.

Mark

RE: Airworld 1:5 F-16???
Hi
I think it would be a good idea of Airworld to make one, although there are a lot of it on the market. Some believe it's already too many F-16! But which model, there are not many of today? BAe Hawk, L-39, F-15, etc. Do not want to offend anyone, but there IS a difference between jet models like everything else in this world. The Germans know a little about aerodynamics and design a good flying model. F-16 is always a favorite among pilots and the public. If the price level is the same as the other models they have, I would definitely have one!
Best regards

It really looks like Peter Coers is going for the absolute last word on the F-16 in 5th scale, except for price, his project might be a hard act to follow.

There is some one in Germany who has build a 4.9th scale and will be released in the middle of 2011 according Jet Power magazine 2011/3.
The prototype flew with a Behotec B300F.
My dual is still far away from any competition [] but once it will be.

Hi Peter -
your D-model will be just fantastic - I am following it here and you are doing a great job, but I guess
a kit is quite far away?
The 4.9 plane from JetPower magazine looks like more of a sport model with very few details, no scale
retracts etc, but still looks like a cool model!

Hi Tor,
You can see how much time it takes to get any progress in the build, also I am suffering a bun-out and that puts a brake on it. It would be a lot quicker if I scratched al the details in it. But than I won't get a scale like surfacing.
By the way my B is scale 4.85 , even a little bigger than the rest.
Greets,
Peter
