Well everything is back together did a test run on time for gear cycle. It takes 10 seconds for gear to go up and 11 secs for gear down. Not bad at all and thats on 7.4 volts so if you opt for lower voltage your cycle time will increase.

if I have to land any place other than the runway the gear would be up, since the only time its down is for landing on the runway.

Hey I did not know it was that easy!
"the only time I am landing is when I am over the runway"
I should have had that talk with my Bobcat the last time it did a seismic survey in the LA river!!

Well to each his own, I haven't crashed a model in over 5 years and that was a heli, so I must be doing something right. Thanks for your opinion I will still not use air systems anymore.

All the drama will cease once you get that bad boy in the air! I am very curious to hear your feedback on the electric retracts once you have some time on the plane. My next plane might be outfitted with a set.

I use 44 oz. in. torque standard servos on my UP-6 and have never had a problem. There are two keys to it though. First, use the shortest servo arm you can and full ATV on the TX to get full travel on the UP-6. That will give your servo maximum mechanical advantage. Second, make sure that when your brakes are at maximum, that the servo arm is inline with the piston on the UP-6. That will take the load off the servo when you lock the brakes. On my planes, if you turn off the RX with the brakes on, the brakes stay on because of this line up and there is no constant load on the servo. The only down side is if you turn off the RX with the brakes on, you have to turn it on again to unlock them . A small price to pay to have a $20 servo operate the brakes reliably vs. a $100 servo like an 8411...

I looked through the threads I have been on, I don't see anything from you. Sorry.

FB,
Did you see my offer in the other thread? No sweat if no need or no interest, but I just wanted to make sure you saw it.

Ahhh okay yeah I havent looked at that thread in awhile and it was so busy I missed that.
Yellow- I hope it would not come to that, but thanks for the offer and if I need to I will let you know. Been talking to the GA boys who are willing to help as well.

After following all the posts in this thread and looking at all the stills in the gallery of the build and all of the videos that you have put up, I can only offer you much success with the flight on Sunday. If possible please post as many stills and a video or two of the action as you can.. I am sure all of us following this thread and build are waiting in breathless anticipation on the final result. BTW.. how much do you think you have sunk into this project from inception? I know it's not inexpensive. Thanks and good luck.
Dave.

Oh.. I doubt very much that you will crash that gorgeous F-16. No drama here. You have the experience to fly fixed wing and air beaters..
One thing I have been having problems with myself is the wing and body lights. I have problems remembering that Left is Port is Red and Right is Starboard is Green, I always want to make port green and starboard red. You did get the lighting kit on the model didn't you? I really want to see the finished project that I guesstimated to be worth around 20K. Take care.

It flies! Flew great and only needed a little up trim and 2 clicks right aileron. My landing wasn't pretty but the gear held up and so did the honeycomb carbon bulkhead : o
