couldn't find anything to fit inside that gave me any decent capacity, the Titan SE sucks 16oz/min in the FUN position.

Okay guys I have 5 flights on the jet, got my waiver on number two (i know everyone is happy about that) everything is holding up fine! Gear is still tight no issues thus far and the electric conversion is well worth the money! I will for ever go electric just for the peace of mind and just coolness LOL. Any way the Fly eagle 220 mm CG is spot on! all throws from the site are spot on, so for people building this jet or going to get one use the recommended throws and CG. My jet came out tail heavy so I had to move all my batteries forward to balance it, I did not have to add any weight just battery location. The jet flies very tame but I will be adding some elevator/aileron mixing for better roll rate and security. Also don't just take my word for it, a bunch have people have seen it fly and seen it up close to verify what im saying. The jet lands super slow and gentle, the only hard part about it really is seeing the dang thing on base turn and final not an issue in the summer but this time of year when the sun is low on the horizon its tough. Once its at the 30 foot area very easy to see and control for landing, the take off is smooth and no jumping, it rotates very smooth. Any way I just wanted to let people know how the flights are going and I look forward to the next build and future jet events!

Hi Fender my fej f-16 1/6 is almost done, i realize that the spring in the nose wheel is too soft, did you had this issue. Also the throw on the elevator and eleron are they mesure at the root.

Thanks

I just measured from the leading edge. I put a piece of tape on the fuselage and drew a line along the leading edge travel arc. The nose spring seemed to weak but after seeing the gear react to landings and various other bumps I think its fine.

Congratulations on your progress. Yes they go stealth on you when turning base every time. You have to get used to it.

Isn't silence golden?

Why yes it is LOL

Im hoping with some ordinance on it will increase tracking some. This time of year does not help so what I am going to start doing is making a higher downwind with a descend base turn so Im seeing more of the top. Its that side profile that gets me LOL

Hi Fender, did your f-16 came out nose heavy with cokpit and pilot. I had to put all my battery on cg and 6 oz of lead in the tail to balance at 220 mm.

Interesting no mine was tail heavy, I had to move all my batteries forward to the nose. I was told it was going to be tail heavy but its not. When I add the wing ordinance it makes it tail heavy so with the cockpit installed I should be able to move batteries aft.
Does your nose come off? I have all three of my tanks in the turbine bay so the CG does not change much with fuel. Is yours the new material?

Okay for those who care about how she flies here is your update. I have 10 flights now and still no issues thus far, gear is working great!!!! thanks DNL anyway I am really getting a feel for it and the only problem im still having is slowing it down to much on landing LOL but hey it can handle it. I like coming in shallow so I dont have to change the angle much and man you can really grease the landing shallow. Steep on the other hand and a little hotter landing I find it not fun since you have shallow AOA and its really hard to grease it with the nose to low. Something I find interesting is with any power it REALLY likes to flatten your AOA so be sure when you it the gas for a go around low to the ground give it some up elevator or your doing a 3 point landing before you can blink.
The Rhino is really good for power I have plenty of vertical for stuff and nice big loops a little over half throttle and it really tracks nice, just like a jet should. I also had my first cross wind landing with the jet today, that big rudder really is affected by the wind. It doesn't crab like my large plane did the jet drifts so I had to really fight it to keep it on the runway and it was only about 6mph winds [:-]

So final grade is a B+ overall

weather has been crap and I have yet to fly on a nice clear day and when I can I will get some good flight videos to finish off this thread.

Thats why you keep beating it up. Don't shoot for a three point landing. Shoot for mains first. If it ballons, you came in too hot.
