OK, this is rediculous. It's 1:00 in the morning and I'm looking at your build video. I must be crazy.
Let me know when the first test flight will occur.

Hey Bill, I like Keith's pull-pull on the elevator. With this aluminum I'm bringing you when I come up you can do the same thing.
Y'all hurry up on both those builds.

Hey guys I need some pipe info, besides the 1/5 inch clearance from the turbine to the bell mouth, should the pipe be even with the turkey feathers or just a little past?

RE: Fly Eagle 1/6 scale F-16 Build Thread
The gap between the turbine and the bell mouth should be 3/4" to 1", not 1/5". Its OK if the pip stops short of the edge of the turkey feathers. How much depends somewhat on how close the diameter is between the pipe and turkey feathers - the bigger the gap, the shorter the pipe can be. Also, if you're not using a bypass and there is a way for air to go out between the pipe and turkey feathers, that will help keep it cool too. I would generally think that as long as the pipe end is within 1" of the end of the turkey feathers, you should be OK. Having the pipe go out past the turkey feathers is OK, but its not going to look good...

Well from Eric at jet central the recommended clearance for the rhino is 1.5, min 1. Im going with 1.5 to keep the pipe cooler and better thrust thanks for your info

Here are a couple photos, and a I have a video uploading. Not much and it was to hard to do and make a construction video so I just did a over view.

Hey guys can anyone post a thread that talks about good fuel plumbing for a 3 tank setup. I pretty sure I have it right I just would like to read up on other techniques. Main tank connects to the UAT, the vent from main is connected to the two saddle tanks via a Y connector to the fuel draw line, and then the saddle tank vent lines run to the out side. which you can hook a taxi tank to as well. I Think this is right but better safe to ask before I install everything.
Going to dinner see you guys later!

RE: Fly Eagle 1/6 scale F-16 Build Thread
Fender, I have tried the Y to the 2 saddle tanks and it works but I have had better luck by plumbing the tanks in series. UAT to main tank fuel pick-up, Main tank Vent to first saddle tank pick-up, 1st Saddle tank Vent to 2nd Saddle tank pick-up, and finally 2nd saddle tank vent to overflow fitting. I have never been able to tell when the fuel was loaded to one side of the plane as the saddles empty. Just make sure the tubing and brass are large and the inside of the tubing where you cut it off is not crimped in any way and you will be fine.
Hope this helps.
See you in KY.

Thanks bill, is this how everyone does it? Well I did wonder how the tanks with a Y stay level, because it seems like if one had the slightest pressure change it would cause uneven flow. Least resistance would pull more correct, will one vent be enough for a rhino?

I do the typical check, I was going to put each in water with some pressure in it to check for air bubbles. They seem to hold pressure so far, sucked till i was [&:] in the face LOL do you have a technique you use?

Well back from KY but the build is on hold for a couple of weeks[&o] but i will try and do some litte things while it's on hold.
I did some comparing between the other brands of f-16 and did not see much difference. The fej with no extra work has a few more details which is why I picked it in the 1st place. They all seem to fly the same and land the same, bobs report on the flaps is about what i expected, he stated you don't need much and it turns in to a floater. I will still setup flaperons just because I'm like bob, I like flaps for scale I do think after I fly this one for awhile and wear it out, I would like to get the larger one. The 1/5.5 is probably the one I keep until i either crash it or it falls apart. Anyway just updating everyone who is following and just talking. I have some nice pics of KY jets I will post soon.

RE: Fly Eagle 1/6 scale F-16 Build Thread
well still not much done since I stopped the build but I did manage to weigh everything tonight.
A few things to note, the servos are all installed with control rods, tanks have all the plumbing and im pretty much at the point to start installing the electronics.
Nose and tail section with gear and servos = 17.49 pounds
Pipe = 1.814
Hatch and Tail cone = .402
Bypass = .202
all three tanks with plumbing = 1.334
Wings = 4.342
Rudder = .736
Cockpit minus the seat = .240
Bottom stab wings = .224
Elevators = 1.052
Air Tanks (stock) = .246
Air Tank Extra Large (considering using) = .206
Power Box, 2 Receivers, Switch, Wires = .568
2 Ions 2600 = .432
High Flow UAT = .108
Turbine (Rhino) = 4.386
Valves = .202
ECU battery and everything else = 1.082
Total 34.82 pounds
The new version would be a perfect combination but it will still do. I just may have to reconsider the turbine.
