Default Jettronics proportional brake valve?

Questions for the "experts"?

When I turn off my rx, the light on my jettronic proportional brake valve stays on? What gives? did I hook something up wrong? The instructions leave a little to be desired? I imagine that the unit should turn off when turning off the rx, as it's hooked up to the rx and has no external power to it? It does seem to work fine, so I think i hooked it up ok?... I mean theres only one wire that hooks up to the rx..
Oh well...
Thanks

How can the valve "see" power if the rx isn't even "seeing" any power? That is a conundrum indeed!

How long does it stay on after power off? It could be residual current. If it stays on continuously, unplug it and then plug it back in. The receiver may be receiving power. How many batteries to the Rec? Type of receiver? Any regulator?

Stays on continuously... JR1222 powersafe, dual a123 batteries, soft switch.. when the switch is turned on the lights on the RX turn on, all servos work as advertised, when turned off, the lights go off, and all else, save for the JBV turn off.... ???
Weird...
Maybe the RX is faulty? or the switch? RX was returned today to Horizon Hobby for service...

Interesting. I have the identical receiver and battery setup in my turbine heli. I don't have a brake valve, but I do have low voltage lights and they turn off. Definitely weird!

I did encounter one strange thing, though...I have servo operated mains and nose gear all connected to the gear channel through two Y harnesses. When I slow the servo speed it only affects ONE of the servos!

What is the full name of the unaffected servos?

Wasn't there a fault reported on the soft switch, something about not switching off correctly if I remember, or not switching off both batteries? Do a search on this Forum I am sure I read it on here.

They are retract servos, which typically means you cannot slow them, but I am able to slow one of them.
