ROUTE 66 JETS-6TH ANNUAL
R66, 2011<o></o>
<o></o>
The Route 66 RC Club (82) Members are again hosting the Route 66 Jets Event at the <st1lace w:st="on"><st1lacename w:st="on">Litchfield</st1lacename> <st1lacename w:st="on">Illinois</st1lacename> <st1lacename w:st="on">Municipal</st1lacename> <st1lacetype w:st="on">Airport</st1lacetype></st1lace> September 8-11, 2010.
This facility is rather unique because it has two nonintersecting runways one of them being, with FAA approval, closed to general aviation for the duration of the event. The only thing that prevents you from flying every day and all day is yourself and Mother Nature as the North/South Runway & Air Space is ours for the four days. There are no planned interruptions to you flying when you want and as often as you like!<o></o>

With all the talk of a little event in Dayton, I can hardly look down the road far enough to think about Rt 66.
I will be there! either Wednesday night or Thursday morning.
I will see you at the Jet World Masters on Tuesday July 26th.
Thanks,
John
Doug Langlitz
OH yea Robert Wednesday eve will be A OK.
Missed you at the last R66 but you were giving a helping hand to bringing a newlife into your family.
Was delighted to learn that all is well and you, mother and baby Lydia along with the canine critters will be at R66?
Oh yea John I know what you mean but being a R66 pilot versus a JWM Judge as well asstaff responsibilities just might be a slightly more, what should Isay?
Oh yea Andy, you got so many JWM responsibilities that we both may never recover but you and your family seems to thrive on being a major part of the action!
Lewis the Jets Over Kentuckycreatorof the largest/biggest/enormous event in the world will also get a break at R66 along with Dorothy that also needs some TLC.
I am off to the JWM in the Friday AM so will definitely look forward to someHAWG time at R66.....
Later, Roger
Whew still recovering from the Jet World Masters but certainly ready for some routine jet action at R66. All of us involved in the JWM are ready to kick back and enjoy a relative relaxing jet rally.
Anyway have FAA approval, Sanctioned with AMA, trophies on there way, Ts ordered, etc. etc.
Will start setting up on Wednesday, finish on Thursday AM can fly anytime Wednesday after noon thru Sunday afternoon sun up till sun set.
Jim Allen Our Co CD will bring the Cornholing Game

Mark Basel will be absent due to apersonal obligation.
Goose will be there also discussing his/our JWM future as well as having his KC dialed in for all challengers
Paul Blanchard & Patty along with Jim McEwen from Phoenixalso to further his JWM ambitions
Lance Campbell & with the Black Bird also deliberating a JWM plane of choice
Ron Colbert with his KC hanging out with brethern from the JWM
Dennis Calvin will be there doinga Swap Shop maybe?
Steve Collins will probably fly more sorties with his Boomer than any other pilot
Jerry Crow will without a doubt get the Turbine Waiver behind him as he has already pre-registered!
More later as I gotta get some sleep...still decompressing from the JWM
I miss you guys already. Really looking forward to my first R66 Jets and seeing the JWM crew again. I'll bring the "snow cone" machine. If only I could figure out how to fit the Mirage F-1 in the overhead compartment.
A big thanks to Paul and Patty; they go to the front of the marg line!
Regards,
Jim
So Rog, put me and my son down for a spot in the start up area. I will of course be filling the jet up, the boy will be having all the fun.

Oh yea youth will be served....there is a reason why I know this....you may be getting a clue.

Patty, I'm doing the routine maintenance checks on the "snow cone" machine so it will be all certified and ready to go. Who's bringing the pool? Tell Paul to forget all about the F-16 until that F-20 is ready to go. I gotta see it fly!!!!
Roger, so are we all gonna have a mini-JWM planning meeting? Sounds like we'll have a quorum. :-)
