Default Flying Style poll

Well just wanted to see what the majority is doing..I have always used the pinch method and have been hearing, this is better, that is better for this etc..would love to hear your pro's and con's on either. Someone told me thumbs are better for certain things, but it's like teaching and old dog new tricks..would love to hear....

Don't know how people can fly "pinched" and still operate switches on jets but somehow they do!

Pinched with a tray. No trouble trimming or moving switches for gear, flaps etc.

Don't think it really matters, when you look at top pilots in jets or aerobatics, you will see both.

I know one pilot that uses his thumbs when he flies mode 1 and fingers when he flies mode 2.......go figure. The guy is a good stick with both.

The second half of this poll should be, who flies with Expo.... I have heard the is a direct corrolation between Expo and Fingers and Thumb flying... I would be intrested in the results...

Pinch for me.... helis and planes.

I've never had a problem operating switches/sliders... and my flying is smooth.

Flew thumb for almost 20 years and switched to pinch method. It took time getting use to it at first but now it feels much more natural then thumb. The TX tray has a lot to do with it as well.

I fly thumbs, when I was flying pattern most of the top guys were flying pinch method so I thought I'd try it, got a transmitter tray, and flew through 4 or 5 gallons of fuel using the pinch method but just couldn't force myself to get used to it, so back to thumbs. I'm just glad I'm not all thumbs when I fly!

I didn't vote because there is not an option of "something else".

I am somewhere between thumbs and pinch.

I have my thumb just barely on top of the stick and my finger on the side of the stick to give me extra feedback as to what my thumbs just did with the sticks.
I have done it this way for 40 years and it works for me.
I have no problem with switches or levers since I still have all ten fingers and they all still work.
