Default FEJ 1/5.5 F16 fuel tanks and flaperons

Hello

I'm posting for a friend who has just received his F-16.

Does anybody know the fuel tank capacity (if possible for each tank )

What is the effectiveness of the Flaperons? does it worth to have them or not?

Thanks
Florent

I have had two of these wonderful airframes from FEJ in the 1/5.5 and you do NOT need Flapperons! I set mine up with Ailerons and Elevs only. The plane is so easy to land and does not need flaps at all.

The total fuel capacity is 244oz. Do not have the breakdown per cell but that is the total of all four cells.

Enjoy!

hey rider did your friends 1/5.5 come in the new lighter material? If so could you ask him what his dry weight is when he figures it out?

I don't know for sure about the material but he said that it should weight 18kg dry with a 19kg thrust Frank turbine, not bad for a plane of this size.
So I guess he doesn't need the full load of fuel. That will save some weight on the fuel tanks.

thanks Rex for the info, I'll pass it on.

Florent
