RE: The new Modellbau HURRICANE
Well guys sorry for the long delay but the Airplane is complete. Below you can see several pictures of the airplane before it was closed up and also of the wings when they are finished. The internal structure of the wing is completely reinforced with carbon fiber on the full length of the wings and in the landing gear area. The fuselage is also heavily reinforced with carbon-fiber. We are going to produce the sport scheme from the first post and also a military scheme as well not sure which one yet. I will post pictures as I assemble our factory demo and video when I test fly it. I expect to have it complete in around three weeks since we are going to a jet show in Ecuador mid october. Modellbau UK and Modellbau Brazil will have there Hurricane Demo's in about 1 1/2 months.

RE: The new Modellbau HURRICANE
Thanks it really flies great I have flown the prototype about 20 flight my self and it definitly is very fast. I flew it with a P60 and with the K80 and either one makes this plane do around 200 mph give or take ( more give than take LOL its a rocket ) but of course it will never fly over 200mph ( just in case big brother is watching) .
I have not firmed up the final price yet but I am aiming it to be less than $900 including retracts, SS pipe, composite fuel tank, all hardware etc.....

eagerly awaiting some pics of the fully assembled production version and a price. The Tornado is a great flying trainer but I feel the need for something a bit spicier.

Henry,
Couple questions:
When will you start a waiting list?
What sort of flight time would a JC Super BEE or P-60 get?
What would the cost be for your trialing links for grass operation?
LOOKS GREAT!
Mike

RE: The new Modellbau HURRICANE
Once again thanks on the compliments, we have worked hard on making this model what it is. We have made trailing link struts for the hurricane as well and they are the same price as the rest of our jets. $315 for trailing link struts wheels and brakes.
Like I mentioned before the price is not 100% set but I will make it as inexpensive as possible. Believe me guys if I could sell it for $100 bucks I would. The price in the UK will be determined as soon as things are firmed up. I am discussing things with Ian and Leo from Modellbau Brazil as we speak.
As for a wait list I think I will be taking names late October. Also that's all it takes just ask. I will be offering the plane is just primer and uncovered wings and elevator for anybody who want to customize.
The hurricane will come with 80 oz tanks so flight times are about 7 min with K80 or 10 min with P60. Also for anybody interested you can buy the one in primer and glass the wings and stabs and you can have a beautiful new home for the P100 which we will be offered at a discount from us if you purchase this plane or any other airplane from us

RE: The new Modellbau HURRICANE
Oh yea did forget to mention that we have also made an F16 that we will be releasing very shortly. We are currently in flight test phase and should be done testing soon, below is a picture of the prototype. It is made for a P60, K80 size turbine and will come complete with tanks, ss pipe and retracts for around $700.
We have not descided on a paint scheme yet so any suggestions are apprecitated. It is the same size as the old Cermark F16 but will be much more reinforced and possibly full composite.

A good video of the hurricane would nice to see. What sold me on the Tornado was the low speed handling. Some nice slow landings and some short grass field takeoffs would be nice.

I'm also a huge fan of the agressor scheme for an F-16. Just please for the love of god don't do the General Dynamics. Worst...scheme...ever. The Edwards Airforce scheme is great too for high vis and simple.

RE: The new Modellbau HURRICANE
i will post video as soon as we get the demo plane built. We dont have any grass fields around here but we have flown the jet off of grass down at our factory. It handles great, thanks to the great trailing link struts that are made for this plane it is not effected at all

RE: The new Modellbau HURRICANE
Henry,
As anyone that knows me would tell you I love F-16's and had (2) at the beginning of this season. One was a Cermark that had a flame out at an open fly session at the JWM (had almost 200 flights on it without issue) and the other was a Skymaster that got into a fight with the very tops of some trees at Jets Over the Valley event...and lost. Both events resulted in moderate to severe damage to the fuselage but all internals including the turbines survived.
I would not think of telling you what color schemes not to do...that's up to you... I for one very much like the General Dynamics color scheme as well as the Edwards scheme. I found the Thunderbirds scheme a little harder to see. I also love the Alaska Camo but don't know how well that one shows up either.
I am very interested in your F-16. Especially if it will be similar in design to the old Cermark that I can no longer buy new.
Please keep us posted!
Mike
