Jet Legend 1/10 scale F-15 C Build Thread
The Kit finally arrives after 4 months waiting, the box had no damage and the jet was very well packed. After inspection I decide to reinforce all the critical areas with carbon fiber and change color scheme. I will try to built as “Scale” as possible so a lot of modifications will be done.<o></o>
Be patient for the photos, I’m slow builder……..
Front landing gear modification, for these parts I used <st1:metricconverter productid="10 mm" w:st="on">10 mm</st1:metricconverter> aluminum, 6mm wood, 1 servo arm and J-B Weld glue.
I had to invert the front retract mechanism so I can get space for the gear, I’m happy with this modification because in the process I discover that all the screws were unscrewed and no Loctite applied in the factory.
This is the real one, which I’m trying to match. For some reason almost all mini torches in the market are now led technology, It’s being difficult to get two to duplicate the real thing.

Question regarding the installation of your main gear. In the retracted position, will the wheel protrude out from the wheel well?
For mine, with the retacts mounted flat against the retract mounts, the wheels will protrude out about 1/8". I can't raise the mounts as the retract will foul the fuel tank.
Thanks.
I fitted the fuel tanks next to the intakes infront of the 1st main former. This relieves the area above the retracts and frees up space for turbine ancilliaries. This has no effect on CG during flight.

I have a pdf called F-15 photo installation which I download some years ago from the Global jet centre.

-Howfar your flaps go down and how much elevator (up or down) you've dialed in to compensate for the flap deployment?
- Any special tips for flyingthe plane (I'm flying on grass), take off, landing, etc.
Thank you!
i have a Titan SE in mine and only fly from concrete so take off is a non event most of the time, it doesn't do well in strong cross wind due to the small rudder size so expect it to drift after lift off. balanced on the center of the forward spar it takes minimum effort to rotate.
landings are almost automatic, pull power back and pull the nose up, add just enough power to control rate of decent, chop it full just before touchdown and flare. only landing issue i've had was the nose gear hanging up on the opening and not dropping out but the stabs kept the weight off the nose and it only suffered paint damage, didn't even rub though the gel coat.
here's the flight where the nose wheel hung up, it was a 10-15mph 90 deg cross wind so you can see the drift after rotating as well.

- can you tell me what your F15s weight was (all 3 main tanks empty, UAT full)?
- by CG on the forward spar doyou mean the forward carbon fiber dowel that mounts the wing to the plane?
- my exhaust pipe is touching the rear recessed lip that the main hatch seats down into, I have ceramic matting covered with tin foil in that area. Did yours do that?
Hate to keep being a pest but I have few more questions

Hi Kc is the cg at the front removable spar brace?
Frank
No, as mentioned above, it's the center of the forward carbon tube in the wing.
I need help on this ......
Thereare some differences between the left and right estabilizardor in the JetLegend F-15?
They are completely symmetrical and can be used on both sides?
Thanks
