Default JetA1 or DreamWorks landing gear

Hi<o></o>

What landing gear to buy for a Boomerang Elan jet.<o></o>

My choice is between JetA1 and DreamWorks. <o></o>

I know JetA1 landing gear is an excellent choice but how is the DreamWorks, can they compete in quality and finish? <o></o>

The Dreamworks gear is top notch. I have them on both my Lightning and the Bolicat. Plus, Todd is in Daytona so if you need any kind of service...it is one day away.

I use Dreamworks gear because I can get replacements easily if I need to. Shipping to you would be a day!

Both are good. Seem to recall the material in the Jet1A looked more solid to me. However, the avaibility of replacement parts with Jet1A is suspect (I need new springs and not sure who to carry them in the USA).

I have them in my elan, great quality and very sturdy. The quote above says it all, this is a biggie in my book. Plus dreamworks has top notch service and VERY fast shipping...

I have heard some people say the have break their DreamWorks gear, but I have never heard that about the JetA1. How is your experience with DreamWorks, have you break any parts or needed spare parts?I know DreamWorks service is good and it’s easy to get spare parts.I will fly mostly from grass and rough terrain so I need a gear that’s hold, and I prefer to not repair.

This set looks nice.

Dreamworks website. Only thing is, there's no measurements and they don't offer wheel size? Price is great and the quality looks good also.

Anyone have this identical set of gear?

Wheel size? Length of the strut?

Thanks,

Charles

Everyone in this thread has said Dreamworks is the way to go because of availability of repair parts, service, sturdy gear, etc. etc. One even said they don't know how to get parts for JetA1. You even said yourself that Dreamworks service is good, easy to get parts but from my read on your post is that you are still leaning toward JetA1. I quess you can keep asking questions until you get the answer you want to hear. This is just my opinion.
