Concessions is not a big deal. I can live with that. I'd been interested in a space in a big tent. There was a place on Navarre Beach that a bunch of us to. It was on the left after you cross over the causeway bridge. Don't remember the name of it. I'm sure Eric will remember the place. He got stuck with a $22.00? bread bill.
What is the rate at the Days Inn?
Who else is interested in attending this event? At least two of us from Austin are interested. It's about a twelve hour drive for us. (I think)

Days Inn: (850)939-1761, Confirmation # 609-749733, $55.96.... per night, Note both motels are king or two twins, smoking or non smoking at Days Inn

I have been asked to attach, the information for the Days Inn in Navarre, the motel is across the street from the Santa Rosa sound and beach and is 5 miles +_ from the flying field, they are holding 10 rooms and will add more if needed, resv. must be made by the 1st. to get the discount price per night, king or two singles, smoking or not, $55.96 + Tax (850) 939-1761 Account # to get the discount 609-749733, same # for confirmation, PLEASE say you are coming in for the Pensacola Jet event.

Field access update: I am sad to report that the father of our club president passed away over the weekend. Mark is our direct liaison with the Navy and will contact them about gaining access on Thursday afternoon when time permits. However, this is certainly a low priority for him right now, as we all can understand.
It is my understanding that Mark and his father were close. I am sure I speak for the club, and all of the PCola Jet flyers, as I express our deepest sympathies and condolences to Mark during this difficult time.

I know how you feel. After spending about 4 hours of listening and seeing you yesterday was a bit much. If this Pensacola meet happens, you pit at one end and I'll do the other end unless you and I are the only ones going. If that's the case, you go to Pensacola and I'll go to Waco. That should be enough separation.

Well, I hope more than 3 or 4 guys show up! 
Haven't heard from any of the GA or MS guys, if they're coming or not.
So, pass the word to the jet bubbas that we are doing this event. The plan is to get Pensacola Jets back on track again as a yearly event. I know it was kind of short notice this year, but we were at the mercy of the Navy. At least they finally said ok..."little victories" beat none at all!

Well, if you guys change your mind, come on down. We've got group hotel rates at the Hampton, Days Inn, and Best Western.
Of course, I can't fuss too much. I haven't made it to MS A/B yet...I keep saying I'm going, then a pesky thing called 'work' keeps getting in the way OK, 2012 for sure, Lord willing!
