Looks like beer IS useful! What is the wing material? Looks like thick depron...
Cool project! One Simjet 3000 in the no 2 engine nacelle?

The plane is made mostly of 20mm EPS - expanded polystyrene
Here are a few updates, Carsten is mounting radio
Søren is making the U/C leg for the nose
Notice the springs - rubberbands

IT FLIES!!!
the pilot reports docile flight - bordering on something like a mpx mentor
1/3 throttle from a simjet 3000 is enough to fly around
AUW is 21 Kg
total buildingtime is something in the order of 40 hours total

RE: making the biggest modelairplane in Denmark
I was looking forward for a few months of entertaining build thread and webcam action and you guys went to spoil everything finishing the model in just 40 hours!!! It's not fair!
Great job and fantastic temawork in any case!
That tuborg must work well!
I think you're ready for an Antonov AN-225!
Ciao, Mauri

Maybe you guys will set a trend with this. It would be great to see this at every jet meet, plus it would show spectators a little more about what goes into making these aircraft.

RE: making the biggest modelairplane in Denmark
Thank you all
All credits goes to Kasper and Keld for comming up with this crazy idea
It could probably have been done in 24 hours with a little more planning beforehand, and a few more on the buildteam
24 hours could be a target for the next team - or hwo can build a 1:10 DC-10 the fastest ?
