Thanks for all the compliments. There's still a long road ahead to the finish but i will get there. Here' what my final finish will be.

Looking good Greg. I'd like to try FliteMetal some day, but the fragility scares me off a bit...

Hi Bob, no i'm going to do the clean tail version, and yes the flames where part of the act. That was a signature ending to there show like they where blazing up the sky. Hence the name the ''skyblazers''.

I just thought i'd throw a couple of pictures of the hot section that i am covering with some titanium foil that i found on a web site. It's not perfect but i have started and there's no turning back now. I'm still waiting for another order of flite-metal so i can complete the covering job and continue to sand my life away.

Hi Mauri, no it is acually a .005 thick titanium metal that you can heat with a propane torch to discolor it yourself. The web site is www.titaniumgoat.com

creme de la creme of the rc jet world... very nice! Why exactly do people say flitemetal is so fragile? does it scratch or dent easily? I guess its really hard to change out a panel?!

Greg,
Did you torch the Ti foil prior to application? Or is that airbrushed color.
Rally looks the shiznit! Nice work.

Hi paul yes i did torch the Ti foil before i applied it to the plane. Thanks for the positive compliment.I guess i have to look at the big picture of how the finished plane will look after it is done. And like everyone told me. If your trying to get a perfect finish that won't happen.
