Classic Jets
The weather looks as if it's going to be great, we have a large pilot entry and rock bun production has started!
Let's hope RCU get their server prob sorted before the pics start coming in!
Cheers,

Can't wait, started charging the fleet Monday and still at it! Big box of orders already to be collected-hope I don't have anymore kit orders or I might be forced to leave some models out! Looks like the season is about to kick off in England, good weather and people buying new toys

I wasn't sure whether I was going to be able to make it or not but the weather forecast looks too good to miss. This will be my first Classic Jets and I'm pretty sure it will be worth the 400 mile round trip

RE: Classic Jets
Forecast for tomorrow is 25 deg, little or no wind and clear skies...a scorcher!
I'm bringing 35 gallons of water along...hope Sainsbugs have got a good stock of ice in ! If you're coming, bring plenty of sun tan oil/aftersun (coz I won't have any spare!).
I'll be bringing a selection of JMA baseball caps - just in case someone forgets theirs!
See you tomorrow!
Cheers,
Dick

Just in from office after a long day. Don't think I have ever had so many orders to process and take to CJ! Started packing with CARF Hawk, Ultra Flash (P-120SX) and DerJet Cougar and an Elan kit that will be collected. Then I thought BVM Electra would be nice on a warm summer day..., then the Habu 32T, the Derjet Vampire, P-80SE Ultra Flash and P-100RX BobCat. Three turbines and several boxes of orders...Great CJ event-not even there yet!

RE: Classic Jets
Just finished getting my stuff ready, looking forward to tomorrow.
The new Merlin VT80 arrived yesterday so I ripped the P80 out of my Sprint and put the VT80 in for a test flight tomorrow. On the face of it looks to be a really good engine - valves AND ECU under the engine front cover so installation is a bit of a non event. Drill 4 holes and connect fuel pump and battery and err thats it!
I've got another little surprise for some doubting friends of mine. You know who you are and the ice creams are on you when it all works perfectly !

Just back from a super cj. Over 160 people came, 29 degrees and light wind! 7/8 planes in queue to fly all day and 4/5 in air all the time. Never seen it so packed. Successful first flight on carf hawk as well.
Dick - can you organise same weather for Dec?

The star of the show for me was John Wrights Arado 555 with 6 of his Sprite engines. Brilliant build quality, installation and a massive achievement. Test flights will be carried out in a couple of months or so.
