Combo of best arf/P60 threads
I know there is a thread about the best airframe for a P60 and I know there's a poll involving the best manufacturer. I am looking to combine the two. What is the best ARF warbird airframe (drop in the components and fly 100 flights without worry) that a P60 will push? Here are the criteria in order of importance to me:
1.) P60 must push it
2.) Warbird- deffinately partial to US warbirds, since I'm AD military. Even more partial to Air Force planes.
3.) Quality build
4.) good flight caracteristics- What fun is a jet that flies poorly?
5.) cost
Taking all those factors into consideration, please help me out.
A bit of background:
My P60 is presently in Tam's original F-16. I guess it would be serial number 1. The plane flies well, but at 18 lbs, the P60 has a bit of a hard time getting it up to speed. Also, with an unknown number of flights, the airframe is getting a bit old.
I love warbirds, not into sport jets, trainers, twin booms or anything like that. Tam's F-16 is my first turbine powered jet, but I've had other F-16s in the past. I'd rather have something other than a 16, but it's not completely out of the realm of possibility.
I would LOVE to find an F-15, but no one makes a small enough airframe that I'm aware of- unless I aquire an additional P60...
Thanks in advance for the help.
Jerc

Thanks Greg, but I don't think my limited experience and BVM's $4,400 ARF are a good mix. If I had the funds, a BVM all the way, but I'd rather stay in the $3K range for the plane, LG, SS pipe, bypass, wheels and brakes.

Hey Jerc, i think you might be hard pressed to find anything for that price with all the accessories you have listed. The bvm $4,400 price tag does include everything you have listed plus all the hardware you need to build it minus the glue. Go for it you will love the way it flies..

What do you all think of the GJC (JHH) F-86? http://www.globaljetclub.com/index.p...roduct_id=2093
For approx $2K I would get a 15.5 lb F-86. 50.5"X50.5"
Has anyone built the JHH F-86 ARF? How is the fit and finish? How does it fly?
Thanks
Jerc

Yann,
I like the F5, but looking through FB's website I found the L-39. I've liked the looks of the L39 since I first picked up Real Flight G3 and saw one on there.
