Yes, your are right.

No more servos or servo wire or pushrods on wings for F16 1/5.5.

Very easy to put wings onto fuselage.

Byron did something similar on their F-16 some 20 years ago, lining up and pushing in was a bit fiddly.

I like the idea, would like to see how it works. The only thing I would be worried about is any kind of play. Great idea, no linkage a more solid wing and you save a little weight. 42 - 43 pounds dry is nice for all the options

Thats right Fender, the play over time might be a problem...
Byron had a very bulky square rod fitting tightly into a control horn inside the plane

there is no play on that. We have very hard aircraft plywood with extra ABS glue on that area to prevent that.

The new gear has been upgraded to be much beefy with electric fucntion.

Yes, gear doors will be electric doors together too.

James was that K170 in the 1/5.5? if so thats a super light bird thats the same turbine I have in my 1/6. Awesome setup does the control box offer a gear door sequencer?
Well if I manage to sale mine at KY jets it shall be mine!!! You know I have been wanting the 1/5!!!!!!
I really like the way FEJ has done the electric gear, the threads go in and out of the actuator! The gear door struts look nice and scale and beefy!!! And no extra fee for the electric!

That was going to be my next question but still even with all the bling a 40+ thrust class would be more than enough [:-] From the pics it does not have the options.

how many cycles has the electric gear been put through ,when testing does the screw thread wear much?

My down and locked version does not wear at all, these parts turn so slow and with proper grease I have no wear at all in mine. I would dare to say you will probably never have to replace them for wear. I have about 25 flights on mine with probably 100 cycles over the time I have had mine.

Hi All:

Company will have one electronic valve to work with electric gear, gear doors set. This valve will work as 5 way valve (EV5U valve).

The valve will have LCD display and timer set up for every single gear and gear door. The valve will work well for different size of electric gear.

valve also has mode 1 and mode 2 choice. (mode 1 is regular function, but mode 2 is used to for those models that need to close doors after gear down)
