BARF MKII
the belly pan and long assembly time has kept a good many people who didn't have the ability to transport it assembled away from the BARF so i'm wondering how much the MK2 version has shortened the assembly process????

RE: BARF MKII
Building one now, first BVM kit for me. Have both wings done, not sure how much of an ARF you want to call it but it is a lot of work. From what I heard it's typical BVM. All formers, air cylinders, hinges, cut outs etc..Nice kit..Just a lot of work. I will see if I can upload pics later...

RE: BARF MKII
KC,
The assembly time has been reduced to just a couple of minutes.
The assembly is exactly like the e-Bandit, and uses the same parts.
If the stabs and fin are already installed, slip the wings into the phenolic tubes in the fuselage phenolic sockets leaving enough space to hook up the quick disconnects for the brakes and gear and the aileron and flap servo leads.
Push the wings inboard to the wing root, then tighten one bolt and one set screw per side...that's all.
No need to turn the airframe upside down....all of the assembly is accomplished from the top, through the power system hatch. One bolt is accessed between the main fuel tank and the bypass tube, the other is located above the aft wing spar.
No lower hatch to install, and only two fasteners per wing.
