Unfortunately the little Trex 450 took up more time than I ever thought a tiny helicopter could do
so work on the Flash hasnt commenced today, but here are a few pictures of the work we have done so far.....all 10 Minutes of it
Picture 1 shows the model after the Canopy had been tinted, in my opinion, I thought this was a little too much dark colour around that area and almost ordered a new canopy glass the same night, now Im thinking a small silver pinstripe around the outer edge to break up some of the bold colour. Come on Rob n Carlos....helps us out, Im unsure
Picture 2 shows the Graupner Carbon Plastic (available from Motors and Rotors) - this was my Dads purhcase after agreeing to have a ride to Motors and Rotors (240 Miles round trip) to pick up my Boomerang XL a few months ago, really easy to cut, literally score with a Scalpel a couple of times and break, we started with a Profile Gauge to determine the intake shape internally but found this less accurate that using a centre line and measuring at 1 inch intervals with lolly stick of all things
.......very professional as ever
The PowerBox will be inset through the Carbon Board onto a false floor, two Battery status lights will also be fitted either side of the PowerBox so the main amount of the wiring will be beneath the board.
Thanks RCISFUN, I will definately look into that.
Henry - After the crash of my other model, I have kept only the items that I would trust a 2nd time - Wren SuperSport
every other item has been replaced for this model. If im being honest, even though I know the SS will provide enough push for a fast aerobatic routine, after watching Carls with the Merlin 160, the only reason this hasnt been fitted with one is because of the Wallet Strings have currently been pulled for an engagement ring
It may seem childish but I do love a good fast Jet, for now Il blame that on the fact that Im only a mere 20 Years old
