None of then are hard to fly.
It is the point where you want them to stop flying but still be flyable that is hard on some.
As was mentioned repeatedly above, once you develop the skill set for your jet, AND get it set up properly, none of them are hard to fly.

Years ago I had a Byron Corsair and it flew about as easy as you could have a WWII fighter be. At one of the Byron shows back in the day guys would come up and ask how do you still have that, those things fly awful????. Just goes to show you that everyone has their own idea of what is or is not easy to fly. Now forgiving, that is another talk show.

Just curious...what F-18C and what was the CG move (for or aft)?

So true because I use to think my F-18C was a handful hard until we change the C/G, what a differences, even comes in slower than my Euro.

Any jet not setup properly.
Is any model really that hard to fly once sorted?? Look at the post above re the Gripen as proof.

Based on what evidence? I have seen several fly perfectly sweetly.

I have seen two that were significantly heavier and both flew well.
The only quirk is a tendancy to have a severe dutch roll if slowed up too much on landing. This was more noticeable if the recommended landing flap setting was used, mine seemed to be easier to land on take off flap. On full flap I needed to power up and really drive it in and on to the ground at speed to avoid the roll.

Both Avonds 104 and FB MiG-21 fly well with proper CG. Actually I prefer the 104 quite a lot in means of simplicity of construction and the tiptanks help understanding its attitude in the sky. My MiG came down in a spin in hard tailwind when only one main gear came out. But I think none of these jets are as difficult to fly like F5D electric pylon models on a course....

a lot of the internal combustion ducted fan models. Many were underpowered and flying on the edge of stall right after takeoff and throughout the flight... too rich, or too lean and then end up deadstick a lot. Any jet with short wings that didn't glide... that was the hardest jet to fly.

I have yet to make a decent landing with my 4 meter U-2 in the seven years I've owned it. It stalls abruptly, bounces on the main strut and belly flops on to the runway everytime. The only reason the airplane survives is it's stalling at about 15 KTS with little damage. Other than that it's easy..

Dornier Jet. I had a FB Mig. There is a good thread on RCU we had a few years back. Its a great flying jet with no bad habits. I had the CG per instructions and had no problems.....other than I dont remember the number. Questions? I will be glad to help make this a successful project. Let me know if you need anything.

Thanks for the reply 777. I picked this up used so it has flown before. Previous owner had RTI turbine in it. Think around 30 lbs. I had a K-180 laying around so was going to cram that in there. Doesn't weigh anymore and has gobs more power. Just don't think I will be using full throttle for anything but takeoff. 40 lbs thrust. Plus will get horrible gas mileage. One thing I don't like is the flimsy gear mounts so may
ok into trying to beef them up some. I'm off grass runway 600' so plan on going over to airport until I get comfortable with it. From what it sounds like as menacing as it looks, it's a real pleasure to fly. Other than keeping oriented with it.
Where you at on 777? I'm over at JetBlue A320.
